Feng Min also finished buying books for the two children, and the three of them walked out carrying a number of books, just in time to see Zhang Yu hailing a cab.
Wu Min looked at Feng Min with anticipation, "Mom, it's so hot today, let's take a cab too."
Feng Min also wanted to take a cab, but remembered the little money she had left, with half a month until the next paycheck, and not much cash in hand.
"Why are you so delicate, demanding a cab." Feng Min thought about the various fees to pay after school started and felt a headache coming on.
She's been considering whether to cancel some of Wu Min's tutoring classes; after all, she's just a girl, and no matter how hard she studies, her grades are only so-so.
After being scolded by her mother, Wu Min, though upset, had no choice but to obediently take the bus home.
"Mom, I'm really thirsty, let's buy some ice cream," Wu Min said, feeling parched as they passed the little store at the entrance of the neighborhood.
