The team found themselves amidst the opulent yet treacherous halls of the Last Resort, besieged by an increasing number of alligator staff and employees who were beginning to grow suspicious of Dreamworld Kel and Dreamworld Aubrey. The group's progress was intermittently halted by these vigilant workers, necessitating a series of battles to clear their path.
Omori and Dreamworld Mari supported their friends with practiced precision, utilizing their unique abilities in a well-coordinated four-part system fight. With each skirmish, they grew stronger, their teamwork more synchronized.
After successfully fending off another wave of opponents, they found a moment of respite in the elevator. The confined space offered a brief sanctuary from the constant threats lurking in the casino-like halls. As they caught their breath, the elevator's ambient music did little to soothe their nerves.
Dreamworld Aubrey clutched her phone, her face paling as she read the latest message from Mr. Jawsum. She gulped, her voice shaking slightly as she relayed the message to her friends. "Mr. Jawsum has ordered us to see him in his office. It's on the seventh floor, just above the Concierge."
Dreamworld Kel's usual bravado faltered momentarily as he processed the implications of the summons. "That means he's watching us closely. We can't afford to make any mistakes."
Omori remained silent, his gaze focused but thoughtful. He could sense the growing tension among his friends, but he also felt a steely resolve building within himself. The journey ahead was fraught with danger, but they had come too far to turn back now.
Dreamworld Mari placed a reassuring hand on Aubrey's shoulder. "We'll face whatever comes together. We've made it this far, and we'll see this through."
With renewed determination, the group prepared for the challenges that awaited them on the seventh floor. They knew that the upcoming encounter with Mr. Jawsum would be pivotal, a test of their resolve and unity. As the elevator doors opened, they stepped forward, ready to confront the unknown and continue their abstract quest.
Omori, with a serious expression despite his empty eyes, clenched his fist and spoke, surprising the rest of the group. "Who knows, maybe we can directly ask him where Hero is and make sure we can find Basil next... since he isn't here at all."
Dreamworld Kel and Dreamworld Aubrey exchanged glances, both taken aback by Omori's uncharacteristic determination.
Dreamworld Mari smiled softly, her eyes reflecting a mix of pride and hope. "That's right, little brother. We'll get to the bottom of this, together."
The elevator dinged, announcing their arrival on the seventh floor. The doors slid open, revealing the imposing office of Mr. Jawsum. Taking a deep breath, they stepped out, prepared to face whatever awaited them in their quest to uncover the truth and find their missing friends.
As they walked further into the main office, the name "Mr. Jawsum" was prominently displayed across the massive desk. Behind it, Mr. Jawsum sat, chugging from his large cup of coffee. He adjusted his shades and fixed a piercing gaze on the group, particularly on Dreamworld Aubrey and Dreamworld Kel.
"Ahh, Aubrey, Kel, and your so-called friends," he began, his voice dripping with suspicion. "I brought you here personally to ask what you intend to do, especially you two—" he pointed at (Dreamworld) Aubrey and (Dreamworld) Kel, "Don't tell me you intend to 'quit' the contract, do you?"
His other clawlike hand tapped rhythmically on the desk, creating an ominous sound. Omori's eyes fell on the contract, noticing the fine print that bound the employees to work for Mr. Jawsum unpaid for eternity. A wave of determination surged through him as he clenched his fists, ready to confront the truth and challenge the oppressive contract that held his friends captive.
Dreamworld Mari reassured her little brother by hugging him from behind, her presence a calming influence. Omori felt her warmth, grounding him amidst the tension.
Dreamworld Kel stepped forward, attempting to maintain his usual cheerfulness despite the gravity of the situation. "Mr. Jawsum," he began, "we're not just here as employees. We have a personal quest—to find our lost friend, Basil. That's why we've been moving around and why we might have seemed distracted. It's not about quitting the contract, but about fulfilling our mission."
Dreamworld Aubrey nodded in agreement, her eyes resolute. "Exactly. We're dedicated to our work, but our friend's safety comes first. We hope you understand that this is something we need to do."
Mr. Jawsum's gaze hardened as he listened, tapping his desk rhythmically. The silence stretched as they waited for his response.
He chug his cup again "Ahh I see , but remember the contract counts as one of your missions yes?" The two nodded "Well , didja both finish you work first? Especially you Aubrey? Did you organized the necessary schedules for everything?"
Dreamworld Aubrey took a deep breath, standing firm. "Yes, Mr. Jawsum. I've organized the necessary schedules and ensured everything is in place for the upcoming events. I've done my job to the best of my ability."
Mr. Jawsum eyed her critically for a moment before turning to Dreamworld Kel. "And you, Kel? Have you completed your patrol duties and made sure everything is secure around the resort?"
Dreamworld Kel nodded confidently. "Yes, sir. I've been diligent in my patrols and made sure everything is running smoothly. But finding Basil is something we can't ignore. We need to know he's safe."
Mr. Jawsum leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "Alright then. Since you both seem to have handled your responsibilities, I'll allow you some leeway. But remember, the contract binds you here. Don't think you can escape it so easily."
Omori, Dreamworld Mari, Kel, and Aubrey felt a mix of relief and determination. They knew they still had a difficult path ahead, but this small victory was a step closer to finding Basil and unraveling the deeper mysteries they faced.
Then , they all froze especially Dreamworld Aubrey pouts when Dreamworld Kel utters "Ohh could we bring Hero with us? Pretty sure he's done?!!"
At that moment from the back door on the left side of the office comes out Hero happily fixing his gloves , his MVP Employee pin on his PJ attire and fix his neck wrapped cape and little Chef hat to waltz beside Mr.Jawsum's main desk and utters "Here you go Mr.Jawsum , I prepared the dishes for the feast , set up the required attire , reserve new clients for you , cleaned the VIP rented areas. Taste test for any sign of food poisoning and especially make sure the rest of the staff does their job well"
Mr.Jawsum headpats Hero and chackles "Jarjarhhahaahhar!!! See these kids? This is what the true MVP employee is like!!! Maybe soon I might actually consider paying for you.."
As Dreamworld Hero chuckles "Hehe I am flattered but it's okay Sir.." as he pause and got awkwardly confused why the others in their group are here "wait guys..what are you doing here?"
Dreamworld Kel, trying to ease the tension, smiled and spoke up. "Hey Hero! We're here on a quest to find Basil. We thought you might want to join us. Plus, we could use your help."
Dreamworld Aubrey nodded, still pouting a bit. "Yeah, Hero. We need to get out of here and find our friend. We've done our jobs. It's time to focus on what's really important."
Mr. Jawsum grunted, looking at Hero. "Well, Hero, seems your friends are quite determined. What do you say?"
Dreamworld Hero glanced between Mr. Jawsum and his friends. "I've done everything required for today, Mr. Jawsum. And it sounds like my friends really need me."
Mr. Jawsum sighed, tapping his desk with his claw-like hand. "Fine. But remember, the contract binds you. Don't forget your obligations here."
Dreamworld Hero nodded. "Understood, Sir."
Omori, still silent, felt a surge of determination. He clenched his fist, knowing that with Hero on their side, they stood a better chance of finding Basil and uncovering the truth. Dreamworld Mari gently hugged him from behind, giving him the reassurance he needed.
As the group prepared to leave Mr. Jawsum's office, Omori glanced at the contract on the desk, his resolve hardening. They had a mission, and nothing would stand in their way.
Then, before they leave Mr.Jawsum spoke out to Dreamworld Mari and Omori "due to you both being unemployed as had no power say...if ever this
'Basil is outside the Resort alert me immediately since only your friends are binded to stay within the resort as a limit."
As Dreamworld Kel pouts thinking
(Oh no, we can't sneakily quit without telling him?)
Dreamworld Mari and Omori exchanged a quick glance, understanding the implications of Mr. Jawsum's words. Dreamworld Mari tightened her hug on Omori, silently communicating her support.
Dreamworld Kel, frustrated but determined, muttered under his breath, "This is gonna be tougher than I thought."
Dreamworld Hero, sensing the tension, tried to lighten the mood. "We'll figure it out, Kel. We always do."
Dreamworld Aubrey, still pouting, added, "Yeah, we've come this far. We can't back down now."
Omori nodded, his resolve unwavering. "We'll find Basil and figure out a way. Let's go."
As they exited Mr. Jawsum's office, the weight of their mission hung over them. They had to find Basil and uncover the truth, all while navigating the restrictions placed upon them by Mr. Jawsum.
Dreamworld Mari whispered to Omori, "We'll get through this together, little brother. We always do."
Omori, feeling the support of his friends and sister, felt a renewed sense of purpose. With Hero now joining them, they had a better chance of overcoming the obstacles ahead. The group moved forward, determined to find Basil and confront whatever challenges lay ahead.
As they walk around , Dreamworld Hero adds blushing seeing Mari do a flying kiss gesture "Still Mari , along with Omori it's nice to see you guys again so…How are we going to only look for Basil within the resort if he is not around at all?"
As Omori gasp as Hero continued "I mean I have been assigned to various parts of this place yet no Basil…"
Dreamworld Mari smiled at Hero's blush and gave him a playful wink. "It's good to see you too, Hero. We've missed you."
Omori, deep in thought, finally spoke. "If Basil isn't here, we need to think outside the box. There must be clues somewhere."
Dreamworld Hero nodded, his concern evident. "I've been all over the resort and haven't seen him. Maybe we're missing something."
Dreamworld Kel, ever the optimist, chimed in, "What if there's a hidden area? Or maybe someone knows something and isn't telling us?"
Dreamworld Aubrey added, "We should ask around. Some of the other employees might have seen or heard something."
Omori nodded, his determination clear. "Let's split up and gather information. We'll meet back here in an hour."
Dreamworld Mari patted Omori's shoulder. "Good plan. We'll find him, Omori. We have to."
With their mission clear, the group spread out, each heading to a different part of the resort. They were determined to find Basil and uncover the truth, no matter what it took.
As they spread out, Omori felt a knot tighten in his stomach. He and Mari were the only ones who could accurately remember what Basil looked like. The others could only describe his personality traits, which wasn't enough for the employees and patrons of the Last Resort.
Dreamworld Kel approached an employee, describing Basil as "the kid who loves plants and takes care of flowers," but the employee only shook their head, unable to provide any useful information. Dreamworld Aubrey fared no better, trying to describe Basil as "a gentle, kind boy who's really shy," but again, it didn't help.
Meanwhile, Dreamworld Hero tried to recall any interactions or sightings, but his memories were foggy. He asked around, but his questions were met with blank stares.
Omori and Mari, however, had a clear image of Basil in their minds. Omori's discomfort grew as he realized the significance of this. It felt like another layer of the mystery surrounding Basil's disappearance and the strange distortions in his memories.
Mari, sensing Omori's unease, whispered to him, "We'll find him, Omori. We just have to keep looking."
Omori nodded, trying to shake off the feeling. "Yeah, we will. We have to."
As they continued their search, Omori couldn't help but feel that something was fundamentally wrong. The way their friends couldn't recall Basil's appearance added to the growing sense of unease and mystery. What else had been distorted or hidden from them?
Determined, Omori resolved to get to the bottom of this, no matter what it took. With Mari by his side, he felt a glimmer of hope that they would uncover the truth and find Basil.
As the group gathered at the receptionist area on the 1st floor of the Last Resort, Dreamworld Mari turned to everyone. "So, any success, anyone?"
They all shook their heads in unison, a collective sigh of frustration filling the air. Dreamworld Kel then jumped up, an idea sparking in his eyes. "Wait, maybe doing some copies of missing person posters might help us look for Basil better?"
Dreamworld Aubrey smiled, nodding. "Good idea, Kel! However..." She paused, her smile fading. "Do we all even remember what Basil looks like?"
The question hung in the air, heavy and disheartening. Dreamworld Hero looked at Mari and Omori, the only ones who had a clear memory of Basil. "I think we're relying on you two for this one."
Mari nodded, turning to Omori. "Omori, you and I can work on drawing Basil's picture. We remember him clearly."
Omori nodded, determination in his eyes. "Yeah, let's do it."
They quickly found some paper and pencils at the receptionist desk, and Omori and Mari began sketching. The rest of the group watched, hopeful that this would be the breakthrough they needed. As the drawings took shape, the familiar image of Basil emerged on the paper, his gentle features and characteristic hairstyle captured perfectly.
Dreamworld Kel looked over their shoulders, a smile spreading across his face. "That's him! That's Basil!"
Dreamworld Aubrey and Hero nodded in agreement. "It's perfect," Hero said. "Now we just need to make copies and put them up everywhere."
They got to work, making copies of the posters and distributing them throughout the resort. As they posted them in prominent places, they hoped that someone would recognize Basil and provide them with a lead. Despite the earlier setbacks, the group felt a renewed sense of purpose. They wouldn't stop until they found their friend.
Omori froze up when Dreamworld Aubrey commented, "What a relief! That you and Mari remember him still very much! Besides, it's probably because both of you aren't under 'contract' to this place."
Dreamworld Hero frowned slightly as he organized the missing person posters. "Although I don't think Mr. Jawsum can just magically make us forget things..."
Dreamworld Kel scratched his head, deep in thought. "Maybe working so much made us forget? Wait, could the FOG before we got under 'contract' here have caused this? We got separated from Basil and Mari at the time." He paused, glancing at Omori. "And you weren't around then either, Omori."
Omori clenched his fists, the weight of their words sinking in. The thought of the fog affecting their memories felt plausible, adding another layer to the mystery. Dreamworld Mari placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "We'll figure this out together, Omori. We always do."
Dreamworld Aubrey nodded. "Yeah, we'll keep looking. The posters will help. Someone's bound to recognize Basil."
Dreamworld Hero sighed but smiled reassuringly at Omori. "We won't stop until we find him. No matter what."
With renewed determination, they continued their search, hopeful that the posters would lead them to Basil. The bond between them, despite the challenges and forgotten memories, remained strong. They knew that as long as they had each other, they would eventually find their missing friend and uncover the truth.
Dreamworld Mari spoke up, "Hey Hero, tell me, despite being able to access things much better now as Mr. Jawsum's MVP employee, maybe since Kel was the first to let me and Omori follow him inside, he actually intended..."
Dreamworld Hero hushed her gently, "No, no, I get it. It's actually been nagging me. Something feels missing when Kel, Aubrey, and I are under 'contract'... But I'm not sure if we can just casually 'quit' undetected. Besides, it might be best to try to talk it out with Mr. Jawsum—"
Dreamworld Aubrey spoke up nervously, "You sure, Hero? What if he still brings up the 'contract' and insists that we really can't leave or even disconnect from being employees for him?"
Hero sighed, contemplating their predicament. "It's a risk, but if we're honest and explain our situation, maybe he'll understand. We need to find Basil, and we can't do that effectively if we're bound by this contract. It's worth a try."
Kel, ever the optimist, nodded. "Yeah, and if it doesn't work, we'll figure something else out. We always do."
Mari gave Hero a reassuring smile. "We'll be right there with you, Hero. We'll face whatever comes together."
With a sense of determination, the group prepared to confront Mr. Jawsum, hoping their plea would be enough to free them from their bindings and allow them to continue their search for Basil.
As they wandered around the Last Resort, they were shocked to see a new face and recalled an unfamiliar side quest: finding Pluto, who had been missing from Captain Spaceboy's Space Gallery in Otherworld.
Dreamworld Kel beamed, "Whoa, wait… why didn't we look for Pluto in our previous adventures? I thought I kinda got a glance of him maybe around Sweetheart's place… or maybe different parts of Otherworld we might have skipped over. But hey! Shall we say hi? He seems more sentient than the other planets from that space gallery we saw!"
Dreamworld Mari nodded thoughtfully, "You're right, Kel. We might have missed some crucial areas. Pluto could provide some important clues, especially since he's sentient and might know more about what's going on."
Dreamworld Aubrey chimed in, "It couldn't hurt to check. If Pluto is as aware as we think, he might be able to help us find Basil or even understand more about Mr. Jawsum's contract."
Omori, ever silent but resolute, nodded in agreement. His serious expression and clenched fists showed his determination to uncover the truth and find their missing friend.
As they approached Pluto, they hoped this new encounter would bring them closer to their goals.
As they approached Pluto, Dreamworld Hero gasped, "Right before we talk to him, guys! Let me do it!"
The group turned to listen as Hero continued, "Ahem, I recognize him too—a glance like Kel said. But it's not just that… he is Mr. Jawsum's personal hired bodyguard employee. I think I overheard from the alligators that Pluto voluntarily left the space gallery due to the issues between Captain Spaceboy and Sweetheart at the time, so…"
Dreamworld Aubrey added, "So basically he works under Mr. Jawsum by his own choice! Even much earlier than us, Hero?"
Hero nodded, "Exactly. He chose to be here, unlike us who were somewhat roped in. Maybe he can give us some insights on how to deal with Mr. Jawsum or even help us with our search for Basil."
Dreamworld Mari stepped forward, "Let's talk to him and see what he can tell us. Maybe he has some advice or information that could help us."
Omori remained quiet but gave a determined nod, ready to uncover any clues Pluto might provide.
They approached Pluto, hoping this encounter would lead them closer to their missing friend and unravel more of the mysteries surrounding the Last Resort and its contracts.
Omori spoke first when Pluto turned, revealing his round, familiar planet-like texture for a body, and muscular yet small arms and legs with a serious face. He uttered, "Hmph... so, other employees of Mr. Jawsum... what are you up to?" referring to Dreamworld Hero, Kel, and Aubrey.
Dreamworld Hero stepped forward, "Pluto, we need your help. We're looking for our friend, Basil. He's gone missing, and we believe he might be somewhere around here."
Pluto crossed his arms, his expression softening slightly. "Basil, you say? I remember him. But why come to me?"
Dreamworld Kel chimed in, "We figured since you're Mr. Jawsum's personal bodyguard and have been here longer than us, you might have some useful information. Plus, we heard you chose to work here, so maybe you understand the contracts and how we might... adjust our situation."
Dreamworld Aubrey added, "We need to find Basil, and we're also trying to figure out how to deal with Mr. Jawsum. Any advice or help you can offer would be great."
Pluto looked thoughtful for a moment. "I chose to work here because I needed a change, and Mr. Jawsum offered stability. But I understand your situation. I can tell you this: the contracts are binding, but there are always loopholes. Finding Basil might help you understand more about why you're all here."
Dreamworld Mari nodded, "Thank you, Pluto. Can you tell us if you've seen Basil or know where he might be?"
Pluto sighed, "I haven't seen Basil recently, but I do know that Mr. Jawsum keeps detailed records of all his 'employees' and activities. You might find clues in his office or by talking to some of the more senior staff members."
Omori, with a determined look, thanked Pluto. "We'll check his office and talk to the staff. Thank you for your help, Pluto."
Pluto nodded, "Good luck. And remember, even contracts made in this world can be broken with the right approach."
Omori and his friends nodded before Dreamworld Kel uttered, "Guys, you go in ahead. I have a favor to ask Pluto."
Pluto asked, "What is it?"
Dreamworld Kel jumped, "In case we ever come to a disagreement with Mr. Jawsum, could you train me to get stronger?!"
Pluto laughed heartily, "Hahahahah, I like you, little one. Alright, do you understand the concept of flexing?"
While the rest observed from afar, Dreamworld Mari whispered to Hero, "Should we leave your little brother with Pluto or wait for him to join us?"
Hero pondered for a moment, watching Kel eagerly listen to Pluto's instructions. "Let's give him a bit of time. Training with Pluto might actually help us in the long run. Besides, Kel seems determined. We can wait here until he's done."
Omori, standing beside them, added, "We'll need all the strength we can get if we're going to face Mr. Jawsum and find Basil. Let's support Kel in this."
Dreamworld Aubrey nodded in agreement. "Alright, but let's stay alert. We don't want to draw too much attention while we wait."
They settled nearby, keeping a watchful eye on Dreamworld Kel as he practiced flexing under Pluto's guidance. The group's determination to find Basil and confront Mr. Jawsum grew stronger with every moment.
Meanwhile, Dreamworld Mari smugly flirted with Hero. "So… MVP employee, huh? I assume your keycard isn't just a COOL KEY CARD, right?"
Hero chuckled, kissing her hand with charm. "Of course, M'Lady… It is called the 'MVP's Keycard.' Mr. Jawsum said it's given only to his most trusted employees! It also makes traveling through elevators faster than waiting for each floor."
Mari's eyes sparkled with interest. "That sounds incredibly useful. Do you think it can help us navigate more quickly to find Basil?"
Hero nodded confidently. "Absolutely. With this keycard, we can bypass most of the security measures and reach places much faster. It'll be a huge advantage."
Omori, standing nearby, listened intently. "That's great, Hero. We'll need every advantage we can get."
As Kel continued his training with Pluto, the group felt a renewed sense of hope. With Hero's MVP Keycard and Kel's newfound strength, they were better prepared to face the challenges ahead and uncover the mysteries of the Last Resort.
Dreamworld Aubrey noticed Omori's expressionless demeanor, reminiscent of his original habits. Sneakily, she held his hand, having already developed a mutual admiration throughout their adventures. Omori blushed and glanced at her as she stopped and spoke.
"Ahh, Omori… ummm… Sorry if you returned with us in this predicament. You really don't mind, right? Hmm… besides looking for Basil, I was wondering… You really don't mind that I admire or uhh—l-like you the same way you might like me back? Or do you just want to make me feel happy?"
Omori's blush deepened, and he squeezed her hand gently. "Aubrey, I… I do like you. It's not just about making you happy. I… I really care about you."
Aubrey's eyes softened, a warm smile spreading across her face. "Thank you, Omori. That means a lot to me."
Hero and Mari watched the interaction with fond smiles, the group feeling a sense of unity and strength as they continued their journey, ready to face the challenges ahead and find Basil.
They waited, turning their attention to Kel as he approached them excitedly.
"Guys, guys!!! Check this out!!!" Kel flexed, showing off his scrunky height and simple slim arms with small but noticeable muscles. "Thanks to Pluto!!!! I think I learned a new skill for our adventure!!!"
Dreamworld Aubrey chuckled. "Wow, Kel! That's impressive!"
Dreamworld Hero nodded with a smile. "Looks like you're ready for anything now."
Dreamworld Mari added, "Great job, Kel! That new skill might just come in handy."
Omori gave a small, approving nod. "Nice work, Kel. Let's keep going and find Basil."
With renewed determination and a sense of camaraderie, the group set off once more, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, bolstered by Kel's new skill and their strengthened bonds.
As Omori turned to the rest while they walked, he asked, "Oh, by the way, before I returned to see you guys in this predicament, Aubrey and Hero… you both also have new skills of your own from earlier adventures before this, right?"
Dreamworld, Aubrey nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! I picked up a few new tricks. My fighting style's more versatile now."
Dreamworld Hero smiled. "Same here. I've learned some new techniques that should help us out a lot."
Dreamworld Mari added, "That's great! With all these new skills, we're sure to find Basil and handle whatever comes our way."
Feeling more prepared and confident, the group continued their journey through the Last Resort, determined to overcome the obstacles ahead and reunite with their missing friend.
As they entered Mr. Jawsum's office again, he greeted them with a smirk, "Oh hohoho, so young ones, found your 'friend' yet?"
Dreamworld Kel stepped forward, shaking his head. "Not yet, Mr. Jawsum. But we're not giving up. We're going to keep looking."
Mr. Jawsum leaned back in his chair, tapping his claws on the desk. "You've been quite persistent. I must say, I admire that. But remember, as long as you're under contract, you have responsibilities here."
Dreamworld Aubrey crossed her arms. "We understand that, but Basil is really important to us. We can't just leave him behind."
Dreamworld Hero added, "We're doing our best to balance our work here with our search. We won't neglect our duties."
Mr. Jawsum chuckled. "Very well, but remember, time is money. Don't waste either."
Omori, remaining silent, clenched his fists in determination. He knew they had to find Basil and that they couldn't be swayed by Mr. Jawsum's intimidation.
Dreamworld Mari, sensing Omori's resolve, spoke up. "We're not giving up, Mr. Jawsum. We'll find Basil, and we'll keep up with our responsibilities here. You can count on that."
Mr. Jawsum raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "We'll see about that"
They were about to leave his office when they all froze when Kel casually ask "Still Mr.Jawsum I think 'Basil' is not around the resort wherever we look so…are we allowed to search of him OUTSIDE the resort?"
Mr. Jawsum's eyes narrowed behind his shades as he leaned forward, his claws tapping rhythmically on the desk. "Out. Side. The. Resort?" he echoed slowly, his voice dripping with skepticism. "And what makes you think I'd allow my top employees to go gallivanting outside my establishment?"
Dreamworld Kel stood his ground, his eyes earnest. "We've looked everywhere, Mr. Jawsum. If Basil isn't here, he must be somewhere else. We can't just leave him out there alone."
Mr. Jawsum chuckled darkly. "And what about your duties here? Do you plan to abandon them as well?"
Dreamworld Hero stepped in, his tone calm yet firm. "We're committed to our work here, Mr. Jawsum, but Basil is important to us. We won't be gone forever. We just need some time to find him and bring him back."
Mr. Jawsum leaned back, considering their plea. "Hmm, I see. But you're under contract, my dear employees. Your absence would disrupt my finely tuned operation."
Omori, who had been silent until now, spoke up, his voice soft but determined. "We're asking for your permission, Mr. Jawsum. Just for a little while. We promise to return and fulfill our duties."
Mr. Jawsum's gaze shifted from one face to another, lingering on each of them. Finally, he sighed. "Fine. I'll allow it, but under one condition: you must return by sunset. If you don't, the contract will be null and void, and you'll face the consequences."
Dreamworld Aubrey nodded vigorously. "Thank you, Mr. Jawsum. We won't let you down."
Mr. Jawsum waved them off. "Go, then. But remember, time is money. Don't waste either."
As they left the office, a sense of relief washed over them. They had a chance to find Basil, and they wouldn't squander it.
Mari then notice Aubrey pinching Kel's ear as she uttered "Kel we could not need to ask permission and instead sneak out without letting him know remember?"
As Hero sighs "There there guys , besides atleast Kel ask since I had a feeling he would suspect if we didn't return at all you know?"
As Omori spoke calmly "Although you guys have an expiration how long you can join me and Mari to search for Basil since only me and her are not under 'contract' here.."
As Kel push Aubrey away "Ughh yeah yeah but Don't worry we're prepared enough if we had to 'fight' him right everyone? For Basil's sake…"
Mari smiled warmly at the group, trying to ease the tension. "We've always managed to overcome obstacles together, haven't we? We'll find Basil, and we'll do it as a team."
Hero nodded, his eyes determined. "Exactly. We have each other, and that's our greatest strength."
Omori looked at each of his friends, his expression softening. "No matter what happens, we won't give up. We'll find Basil."
Kel, rubbing his ear, grinned. "Right! And we'll make sure Mr. Jawsum understands we're serious about this. Let's get moving."
Aubrey, finally releasing Kel, sighed but smiled. "Alright, let's go. Basil's counting on us."
As they left the office and started their search, they felt a renewed sense of purpose. Despite the challenges ahead, they knew they could rely on each other. They had a limited time, but their determination to find Basil was unwavering. Together, they were ready to face whatever lay ahead.
