It had been three days since the latest victim's lifeless body was discovered, and though Reyas Academy carried on with its usual routine, a palpable tension hung in the air like a suffocating miasma.
Whispers of unease skittered through the halls like unseen specters, and even the most mundane activities seemed tinged with an undercurrent of dread that wouldn't dissipate.
The sun cast long shadows over the Academy's manicured lawns, and the air was thick with the scent of late summer flowers—a pleasant fragrance that felt obscenely out of place given the circumstances. The beautiful weather seemed almost mocking, nature's indifference to the horror unfolding within these prestigious walls.
The victim had been found in the First Year's Building, a place that should have been a sanctuary of learning and discovery. Instead, it had become a macabre stage for a series of grisly murders that had left the entire student body on edge.
