Every god represents one or several laws, being highly consolidated forms of these laws. Within their divine domain, their words become law. The higher their level of divine power, the more severe this effect becomes.
Wherever they go, they alter the laws of that place.
The Material Plane, however, is a composite of countless laws, and naturally, these gods are repelled by other laws.
True Gods are not incapable of entering the Material Plane in their true form, but should such a situation arise, it would undoubtedly come at a great cost, even bringing inconceivable changes to the Material Plane.
It is often said among the people that when the King of Hell, Asmodeus, descends, Hell will also descend upon the world.
This is not without reason. If such a situation truly occurs, even if the entire Material Plane does not transform into a living hell, the areas the King of Hell enters and rules will become such.
