Ever since passing Temel, the speed of the War Chariot Legion significantly decreased, as their path was blocked by a large number of war refugees.
A large portion of these were from the city of Temel. Among them, those with some information believed the Tukan People's forces were terrifyingly overwhelming, and the ferocity of these nomadic tribes was fully displayed in Twin Star Town. Staying here to hold their ground was just a foolish act of waiting to die.
Those with some capability would flee Temel with their families, escaping along the Golden Road to Tavelan. Limited by their understanding, they subconsciously believed that as the capital of the Cesk Kingdom, Tavelan, with its higher walls and more defenders, should be able to protect them.
Little did they know they were now right on the Tukan People's inevitable path. Fearful, most of them couldn't possibly outrun the Tukan Army, and it wouldn't be long before they became the Tukan People's new slaves.
