[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]
Third Person POV
Somewhere unknown.
...
...
Severus began to tell everything to his deceased mother, while leaving the most impactful part for last, knowing how shaken his mother would be.
"So you are saying..." The woman seemed in shock as Severus told her the truth at that moment.
He would not lie and revealed his secret.
"So you are saying that you merged with another person after taking your own life!?" She stammered upon hearing why her son had changed so much, revealing a point that changed everything.
"Yes. Unfortunately, the Severus you knew is largely gone. He committed suicide and was supposed to be in this spiritual world with you. He wasn't such a bad person to go to hell, so he should be with you."
The former Severus had certainly practiced dark magic and hurt some people with or without it, but he was never cruel enough for his soul to be corrupted. He was just a student, and certainly the life he led put him on the path he was on.
"You are saying my Sev killed himself...!?" She began to cry.
"He couldn't take it... I'm sorry... But it's something I've come to realize lately. Thanks to another soul that entered this body, I emerged... it's hard to explain, but now I know... Morou and Severus merged. We are one now. Just because the older soul completely dominated him, it doesn't seem like Severus is here, but he is... I am still your son, mother. Severus Snape is still me at the same time that I am Morou, the guardian. Why is this so hard to explain... so confusing..." He seemed a little irritated.
After sighing a little, he turned back to the suffering woman.
"Somewhere, he is still here. Severus Snape and Morou died at the same time, in two completely different places. Somehow, they were drawn to each other, taking over the body of the boy who had lost his life. This was Severus Snape's second chance to live..."
The woman still cried for a while.
Severus fell silent after that, while Rosaria also watched her fiancé there, behind him. Obviously, she had researched him a long time ago, about who he was before, especially after the confrontation they had at the black market auction event. It seemed unbelievable that a boy who had such a difficult life had become a man who faced her head-on without backing down.
Moreover, he had the ability to emit no unpleasant smell to her sense of smell, which made her approach a man for the first time without feeling disgusted. It was incredible, believing that Severus was like her soulmate, the one she had to wait 200 years for to appear.
And now, she already knew a little about him, even though he had never said anything about how he was before, about this Morou and his story beyond this world... But she believed he would tell her in time.
Anyway, Severus waited for his mother to calm down.
"I'm sure Severus will separate from this body when the time comes, and you will be able to meet."
"But it's you, right?" she asked.
"Yes, it's partly me..." he said. "I have no verdict about my situation."
"Alright, thank you," she said, still amid tears.
"I think we should end it here... Until we meet again, mother. I say this as Severus Snape, your son... Now, I will no longer disturb your rest," Severus said in the end, while the woman nodded and began to fade away.
"I want you to live a happy life, Sev. A life I didn't have. Treat your girls well, they all seem amazing... and, more than anything... Always follow your heart, I never regretted having you as a son, you were the best thing that happened in my life..." she said.
Eileen seemed surprised by the fact that Severus had mentioned not only losing his friendship with Lily but also gaining four other fiancées. Before he told her about the suicide.
In the end, she said her last words, and Severus nodded, grateful for everything. After that, she began to vanish in a flash of light, leaving Severus standing there.
He just sighed as if he was moving on now... "Well... it worked with my mother... But would it work with beings who died outside this world?" Severus wondered, thinking about contacting his former mentor or even his companions who had fallen in battle when they were betrayed in the order by the heirs.
Then he decided to test it.
Rosaria saw him pronouncing strange words in another language she had never heard — clearly not a language used in this world — while Severus called the names of many people, but nothing worked.
"Looks like I was right. It only works with people who died in this world." He was not disappointed; in fact, he expected something like that. There was no way to control all the deaths in the universe with just one object created in an unknown world, whatever being created that thing...
"Who did you want to contact?" Rosaria couldn't help but ask, driven by curiosity.
"They are old names, but it doesn't matter anymore. Anyway, let's go... or do you want to talk to your mother? Now that I remember, you wanted to see her, right?" he asked, while Rosaria immediately glowed upon hearing that.
"If you allow me, I would love to do that," she admitted.
"Alright then. Say her name and think of her at the same time," Severus said, while placing his hand over Rosaria's hands, activating the soul stone again.
"Flora d'e Becuilr." She said her name for the first time.
Upon speaking the name, a woman with long red hair and blue eyes began to appear, dressed in a witch's robes. She was a middle-aged woman who blinked a few times before looking at her daughter. She recognized her much faster than Eileen had recognized Severus, since he had gone through radical changes in his body. Rosaria, however, had never changed: she had grown normally until she was 19, but had stopped aging at that point, and thus more than 180 years had passed without her aging.
"Rosaria..." the woman murmured in surprise.
"Mother! Seeing you again... I can't believe it!" Rosaria exclaimed, with a tear running down her face.
"Oh, my Rosa... it's been about 145 years that I've been waiting for you. You're still whole and healthy, that's good... I hope you have a long and happy life, that you stay that way. Daughter, I'm still waiting for you on this side to meet you again... But what's happening here? How is this possible? And who is this young man by your side?" the woman asked, curious. "He doesn't seem to be a vampire."
"Because he isn't, mother. He's using the power of one of the Deathly Hallows. As you can see, it can summon people who died in this world," Rosaria explained, giving special emphasis to the last part, since she had discovered this with Severus, and there were other worlds out there.
"And he's my fiancé," Rosaria added.
"Oh... but have you married in these 200 years?" she asked, curious.
Rosaria quickly shook her head. "No, mother. I was still pure until I met him..." she said, making sure Severus could hear, so he wouldn't jump to conclusions.
"You seem quite concerned about his opinion. Well... does he make you happy?" she asked.
"Like no one else could," Rosaria replied with a shy smile, still getting used to sharing moments together.
"That sounds good. Anyway, since you brought me here, it seems you want to talk, right?" the woman suggested, already understanding a little about what was happening and how her daughter felt.
"Yes, please, mother," Rosaria replied.
So, they began to talk.
Severus stepped back and let them have their moment. Just as she had done with him and his mother, the conversation was a bit longer, and he didn't mind. In the end, the woman was glad to have spoken with her daughter and, turning to Severus,
"Well, thank you for giving me the chance to talk to her. I hope you take good care of her from now on. I'll leave her in your hands..." she said.
"Don't worry," Severus replied, as she vanished.
Rosaria couldn't help but shed a few tears and hug Severus.
"Thank you for helping me see my mother," she said, emotional, as Severus pulled her closer.
"Well, let's take the opportunity to finish one more thing, alright?" After all, he wanted to get one more Horcrux that very night. At that moment, it was only halfway through the night, and they still had time.
"Of course. Where are we going now?" Rosaria asked.
"Just hold on to me," he said. With that, he didn't let go of her hug, and they disappeared the next moment, using Apparition.
Space warped in front of a mansion, and soon Rosaria and Severus appeared.
It didn't take long for the door to open.
Lucius Malfoy appeared, sensing someone easily breaking through all the house's defenses. He was even more shocked to see that Severus didn't even have to put in much effort for it: he simply began dismantling every defense around the house as he advanced through the space before appearing; he only refrained from materializing inside the house and waited for Lucius to get close this time, giving him the chance to see someone invading his residence with ease.
Lucius paled when he saw it was Severus again.
"Hello, Lucius Malfoy. I know you're surprised, and believe me, I have no desire to see you again after dealing with your master. However, there is something here I need and that you keep hidden in this mansion," Severus said calmly, while a shadow appeared beside him.
"Come on, Tom Riddle, show the way," he ordered, not caring about Malfoy's opinion, as the shadow began to move forward.
"Who is this?" Lucius was stunned to see the black figure of a wizard.
"Don't know? And where are my manners, then? Tom Riddle is a name you may not know... but you know his other name. He is the Dark Lord, Voldemort... As you can see, I turned a shadow, at least in part, using fragments of his soul. And there is one of those fragments in this house. So don't be so upset that we're invading. We need to get a certain diary Voldemort gave you... and you know very well what I'm talking about."
Lucius turned pale.
"That diary... you're saying there's a piece of Voldemort's soul in it?" Lucius asked. He knew there was dark magic in the notebook, but he never imagined it was that.
Either way, Severus wasn't in the mood to explain.
"Just let us in. We won't harm you, as long as you follow my instructions. Our business with the other is already over. I'll just take the notebook and leave," Severus said, as the shadow passed by him and entered through the door.
Severus followed right behind, and Rosaria accompanied him, leaving Lucius speechless as he watched them simply walk into his house. He couldn't do anything — the wand was still in his hand, but he had no courage to stand against the monster invading his home for the second time.
