Bai Xiaosheng and his group didn't look at Ma Weiqian, until he sat down on the seat next to them, until he asked the waiter for a drink.
"Mr. Bai, you all arrived early," Ma Weiqian muttered with his head down.
Lei Ying stood up, holding his drink, and moved to the other side of Ma Weiqian, making space for them and blocking the view of others.
Ma Weiqian, understanding the cue, moved closer to Bai Xiaosheng.
"Not that early, just half an hour ahead," Bai Xiaosheng said, sipping his drink while glancing at Mr. Nick's side. He smiled at Ma Weiqian, "Looks like Mr. Nick is going to be quite busy today."
Ma Weiqian chuckled, "Not really, just the initial greetings make him seem busy. When the party officially starts, Mr. Nick won't stay long before leaving. After all, attending this party is more about giving face to a friend, relaxing, not important socializing."
