Each event requires cooperation between parents and children.
The first event: shooting baskets.
Parents turn their backs to the children and throw ping pong balls, while the children use small buckets arranged by the kindergarten to catch them. The child who catches the most balls wins, with rankings based on the number caught.
The buckets aren't very deep, so sometimes even if a ball goes in, it bounces out again. This requires teamwork.
The three brothers weren't in the same group, which suited them just fine. In such a competition, the other two could cheer for the one competing.
Lu Yichen and Gu Hongrui were in the first group. At first, like the others, they didn't coordinate well, catching only one out of five balls. But after some communication, they quickly found their rhythm.
They caught four out of the last five balls, dropping one, making it a total of five balls caught. Another pair of father and son in the same group also caught five balls.
