Chapter 13 - CHAPTER 13

They had a bit of argument, deciding where to sleep. Williams insisted they share the same bed but Glen wasn't okay with it. He chose to lay on the ground with blankets.

Williams asked to lay on the sheets instead but Glen wasn't ready to let Williams, his senior sleep on the floor while he gets on the bed.

After their strained arguments Glen laid on the floor facing the ceiling and fiddling nervously.

The last time he shared a room with someone was with his elder sister and Charlotte, which was years a ago. He didn't feel relaxed. He was scared that he might snore or make weird noises while he slept.

"Glen, you don't have to sleep on the floor. You should come share this bed with me." Williams persisted once more.

He's still pushing through with this…

"I-I'm fine…"

he replied anxiously tightening his eyes like the persistence was already exhausting him mentally.

"Hah.." Williams sighed. "Why are you so relentless."

Their demeanor became extremely quiet for a moment.

Glen's eyes twitched from the fake sleeping. He sneakily opened his eyes to peek at Williams. He wanted to be sure he was fast asleep since he went quiet.

Surprisingly, his eyes met William's pressing gaze on him. He had been staring at him the whole time he went quiet.

He flinched and averted his eyes awkwardly. "S-Senior Williams I-I thought you were fast asleep."

"I want to ask a question, but I'm worried you might become uncomfortable…" Williams said still pressing his gaze on Glen.

What could he want to ask?…

"I-I don't mind…whatever senior Williams ask me."

He said fixing his gaze more intensely at the ceiling.

"Is Glen still a virgin?"

Huh?!!!

Glen jolted up stunned as he stared at Williams, unable to believe Williams who talked so innocently was asking him such questions.

"Ah…" he whispered and opened mouth to respond but halted his remaining speech when recalled his past incident with Phil.

He doesn't consider himself pure anymore, Phil who he didn't feel a thing for back then have done almost everything thing with him. He had experience pleasure but it was short while and was done against his will.

He hung his head low. The blanket over his stomach became rumpled from his sudden grip. He had a pensive look on his face, lost in thoughts.

"I'm sorry if my questions made you uncomfortable. You don't have to force yourself to answer if it's hard on you."

Williams interrupted him seeing how he was battling with his thoughts. He wondered why he was to strained trying to answer.

Still slumped, he responded with a low voice. "I'm sorry…I was…"

"Don't sweat it. Let's rest."

Did something happen to him in the past? Looking at Glen, he looks very vulnerable…who knows the sorta thing that may have went on in his life growing up…ah I don't want to even begin to imagine…

Glen laid back down staring at his ceiling in a daze.

"Are you free tomorrow?" William interrupted his gaze, tossing backward and proceed to fix his gaze at the ceiling too.

"I…have to study tomorrow."

His eyes turned to Glen and his lip angled into a soft smile. "Great! We'll study for a while then hangout a bit. what do you say?"

"…Sounds okay." Glen said with a soft smile.

A smile of content emerged on William's face and he slowly shut his eyes.

— — -

It was morning Glen walked into the sitting room to see Charlotte sitting cross armed, her eyes seemed distant. It was obvious she had a lot going through her mind at that moment.

"Charlotte?"

He called out her name drawing her out of her thoughts. She uncrossed her arm and shifted her attention to him. "Glen, Good morning."

"Good morning. How are you feeling?" He enquired.

"Hah…better I guess…" She responded and shifted her gaze to the floor before returning it to Glen. She noticed he was all dressed up about to leave.

"Where are you going?" She enquired.

"Williams asked that we study together, but we'll stop at our places to change first. Wanna come along? You can use it as a means of distraction." He said beaming an expectant smile.

"Ahh, I want to clear my thoughts…maybe some other time. Be careful out there though." She threw her head backward on the sofa narrowing her eyes lethargically.

Glen did not to probe in any further and instead stared at her before looking away with a brooding eyes.

She looks tired…

Williams languid voice suddenly sounded behind them as he approached.

"Glen are you done?"

"Yea." He responded with a dull tone.

"What about Charlotte is she coming with us?" Williams asked their both attention shifting to Charlotte. It seemed she already fell asleep without a warning.

"She fast asleep. Let's not disturb her. I already told her we were going to study." Glen whispered, shoving Williams lightly to the door.

"Alright."

— — -

They both got into a cab sitting at the back seat.

"Senior Williams. You'd drop me off at the street that leads to my place so I can change and meet you up at the cafe."

"Don't worry about that, I will buy you clothes on our way." He responded as he put on his seat belt. "Put yours on."

"Oh. I almost forgot." He crossed his seat belt over him nervously and continued. "But senior Williams, y-you don't have to go through all those hassle and I think it's waste of money."

The cab engine started and began to move.

Williams shoot Glen a soft but stern look. "I don't mind though and why would buying clothes for you be such a hassle for me?"

Glen turned to look at him.

His expression said it all, he didn't like Glen's response.

Glen diverted face guiltily. "I already have clothes-"

"But I want to do something nice for Glen."

Williams cut in politely, halting Glen's sentence.

Glen went silent, he had no other choice and arguing with Williams when he meant to do something like this would be pointless.

— — -

The boutique sign post red, "men's glam." Inside the building, Glen was hesitant to pick up some nice clothes that caught his eyes because the prices on the tags were very expensive and he did not want to have williams spending so much money, especially on him.

He paced racks to racks, flinching from the expensive price tags, sweat beads rolling down his forehead.

It was quite an amusing sight for Williams.

He chuckled silently as he watched glen getting startled from the prices and skipping the clothes even though he seemed to like them.

He picked up one of the stylish T-shirt Glen has looked at and appraoached him holding up the T-shirt.

"Glen, do you like this?"

The price tag on that particular T-shirt was a $199.

"I don't."

Glen responded nervously and hastily turned to search for cheaper alternatives .

"Glen, try this one. I want to get it for you."

He shoved the T-shirt on his chest. Glen hesitantly grasped it, sweat darting off his face.

"Al-alright.."

***

Glen walked out the dressing room embarrassed with his head dropped down. He could feel his face burning as William's lips twisted with a contented smile.

"As expected, black clothes compliments your pale skin."

"T-thank you." His voice trembled.

"Wait."

Williams got up, his foot steps moved to one of the hangers and picked up a face cap he had earlier seen an wore it on Glen's head.

Glen's small pale face—the red glow from his ear—the black face cap, everything looked good on him.

"Perfect!" Williams smiled in a contented.

— — -

They both sat in a cafe glancing through their books intently for a while sipping their coffees.

They didn't even realize time had passed.

Glen yawned fatigued wipping the tear bubbles on his lashes, he glimpsed at Williams as he studied his book intently.

There were quite some interesting things about Williams.

Glen had only just noticed he wore glasses to study, it had had him wondering if Williams was short sighted.

He could now clearly see Williams astounding facial features, from his honey brown eyes to his sharp jawlines, his high bridge nose and his bushy brows that complimented his curly hair.

"Glen, is there something on my face?"

Williams unexpectedly enquired with a grin startling Glen out of his dazeness.

Glen didn't even notice he was staring for long and became abashed—averting his eyes.

"I-I'm sorry…I didn't realize I was staring too much.

Williams chortled out an amused laughter. He closed his book and took of his glasses slanting quite close to Glen from the other side of the table.

"What were you thinking while staring at me like that?" He said in a subtle tone beaming a soft smile.

Huh? What was I even thinking?

"I-I think you're handsome and you have a pretty curly hair." He responded abashed and averted his gaze to his books. He could feel his cheeks warming up.

Williams looked incredible, and always seemed to love locking eyes whenever he talked to him.

With a playful grin Williams asked."Do you want to touch my hair? Feel it, I won't mind." He slanted his head close to Glen so he could easily touch his hair.

Glen was a bit hesitant and nervously rubbed his fingers into his hair gently like he would break off his strands. It felt cloudy and fluffy he couldn't help but ruffle it curiously like a kid.

"It's soft, and smells nice." He blotted out in a soft voice.

Williams giggled softly, wearing an embarrassed look. "Can I touch your hair too?" He requested.

Willams enquired with a glistening expression, in Glen's eyes it was as if he had grown a puppy ear and tail wagging patiently for their master to approve of his demands.

"Y-yes."

Glen covered his face with his book and lowered his head to William's reach.

Williams slowly patted his hair before ruffling his hair giddily. "It's really soft. Even though I have touched it before, I'm only feeling it properly today."

In that moment Glen felt like his heart was about to leap out of his chest.

— —

The sky turned dark. They both stood in front of the cafe. The street was filled with boisterous people, colorful streetlights that illuminated their surroundings.

"Let's get something to eat." Williams said as he typed on his phone and shoved it back in his pocket. "Where'd to want to eat?"

"Anywhere is fine…"

"Okay then let's go."

They walked passed someone immersed in his phone.

They guy who was wearing a bucket hat perceived a familiar scent as they walked past him and his eyes immediately followed them to reveal his face; it was Phil. Glen's trauma.

He stared at the small figure intently with his blonde hair sticking out from the back of the face cap. It looked familiar to him. He couldn't easily forget that pale nape.

His pupil dilated. He raised a brow in skepticism.

"Glen?"
