Chapter 50: "Dance around the Maypole"
On the green lawn in the middle of the community square, a magnificent maypole stood tall, adorned with vibrant leaves and colorful flowers. The air was filled with the lively tunes of folk music, drawing a large crowd of people who had gathered to celebrate Midsummer. Wilhelm had left his mother, Inger, and his brother, Nathaniel, to celebrate with Grandpa and Grandma at their house. Meanwhile, Wilhelm and his friends embraced the joyful atmosphere, eagerly awaiting the traditional Maypole dance.
