What was she thinking? She must still be drowsy from just waking up. Without replying, she stood to her feet and headed for the door.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
Bel turned to look at him, but he was already fast asleep. Who falls asleep that fast? She wondered as she turned the handle of the door, pulled it open, and walked out.
It was dark. That was her first realization. Of course, it was, but still, it was still shocking to realize not even a tiny ray of sunlight seeped through the cracks. They had been very thorough with the sealing.
She turned around and made her way back to the room for light. She didn't know exactly where she was heading, but she knew she didn't want to spend another minute in the room with him.
She picked up the light, and for a second, she remembered the light orb he had given her, and Bel sneered at the memory. Without any glance toward him, she once again made her way to the door, this time armed with enough light to illuminate her path.
