( Four Years Later )
It was a dark winter.
The storm hailed and battered against the cracking windows, there were no woods left in the castle and frost spread across every stone, every corner.
Alyssane found it fascinating how the place was dying along with its people but the cold, the lingering heat, never touched her skin. But somehow, she could feel the chill seep deep into her bones.
'Should I kill another to feel the warmth?' Her gaze trailed over the crimson blood pooling around her feet.
One anxious man hurried inside the room, breathless, he whispered, "… Ravka has fallen."

Alyssane woke up with a splitting headache.
'I was there again…' Her heavy eyes softly opened.
She had been used to the emptiness that once haunted her sleep, it had begun to feel comforting but four years ago, something changed. Every night, there was a dream, and every night it felt like a forgotten memory.
But none of them ever made sense.
