The Nekomata's eyes were fixed unblinkingly on the Acacia Stone. The unremarkable stone showed not even the faintest glimmer of light. The Nekomata's heart plummeted, and she withdrew her hand in bitter disappointment.
The young wolf said, "Nekomata, all grudges between us are now settled."
The young wolf's heartless demeanor displeased many Beastmen of the Green Sand Tribe.

"That Nekomata truly saved your life! As a female, she even hunted to provide for you. Now that you're healed, you disown her. What an ungrateful cur!"
The Nekomata was thin and small, and not popular within the Green Sand Tribe. But she was, after all, a young female of their own tribe. No matter her faults, she shouldn't be bullied by an outsider like this.
Some male Beastmen even roared in anger, "Young wolf, the Green Sand Tribe doesn't welcome you! Get lost!"
The young wolf clearly hadn't expected things to escalate like this.
