Kanae's voice was exceptionally gentle, comforting her terrified younger sister as if soothing a child.
"Sister…"
Feeling the warmth of her sister's embrace and the tenderness in her voice, Shinobu's wildly pounding heart gradually began to calm down.

"You mustn't be rude."
Kanae took Shinobu's outstretched hand and led her over to Kaito.
"This gentleman is our benefactor, Mr. Kaito, who saved my life from Upper Moon Two and even helped me defeat the Upper Moon demon." Kanae smiled innocently. "He's an Onmyōji with powerful magic!"
Kaito nodded gently with a warm smile.
"How is that possible!!!"
Shinobu looked suspiciously at her sister and this unfamiliar man.
"What's wrong, Shinobu?"
Kanae looked at her somewhat confused.
"You defeated Upper Moon Two?"
Shinobu asked, wide-eyed.
"That's right." Kanae smiled cheerfully, clasping her hands together. "So, how about it? Your big sister is amazing, isn't she!"
Shinobu took a deep breath, pointed at Kaito, and asked expressionlessly, "He's an Onmyōji who knows powerful magic?"
"That's right, he's truly incredible!" Kanae nodded repeatedly.
"Big Sister…" Shinobu raised her hand to her forehead.
'She's been tricked!'
Shinobu glared at her usually somewhat airheaded sister.
"Shinobu?"
Kanae looked at her with sparkling eyes.
When Shinobu met her gaze, she too felt a bit dazed.
'Hmm… It's possible that what Big Sister says is true, after all, she is the perfect Big Sister.'
'No!!'
'I can't let Big Sister lead me by the nose!!!'
She shook her head, her eyes regaining clarity, and turned to look at Kaito.

Kaito took out two small paper figures cut from white paper from his sleeve.
"Miss Kanae, you must still be wondering how I knew about your parents and younger sister, right?"
"Huh? Don't Onmyōji practice divination and physiognomy?"
Kanae asked in surprise.

Then, the paper figures erupted with a dazzling spiritual light.
By the time they lowered their hands, which had been shielding their eyes from the intense light, two human figures gradually became clear.

Kanae stared fixedly at the two figures.
"Dad… Mom…"
Shinobu covered her mouth as large teardrops fell from her eyes.
"Kanae, Shinobu."
The father and mother they had longed for in their dreams countless times had reappeared before them, opening their arms to them.
"Dad!!"
"Mom!!"
"Kanae!!"
"Shinobu!!"
The family, separated by life and death far too early, now embraced each other tightly.
Kaito voluntarily stepped far away, smiling as he watched the scene.
'Perhaps coming to this world as an Onmyōji isn't such a bad thing?'
He suddenly found himself thinking this.
On the other side, the long-separated family seemed to have endless things to say.
The Kochō sisters chattered incessantly to their parents about their experiences over the years.
And the Kochō couple, who had actually been following the two since their deaths, listened tirelessly.
Just then, the Gate of the Underworld silently opened once again beside Kaito, and two small figures stepped out.
They were two little demons about 1.4 meters tall—one with black hair and two horns on its head, the other with white hair and three horns.
Kaito asked with some amusement, "Why is it you two? Takanotsume and Nasubi."
"Greetings, Lord Uchiha."
Takanotsume pulled Nasubi, who was looking around curiously, over to Kaito.
"I heard you two are still newcomers, right? Did Hakuten send you to guide the deceased?" Kaito struck up a casual conversation.
"Well, because Hell is short-handed lately, and we have to carry out a large-scale retrieval of the deceased who remain in this world due to lingering attachments, we've had to take on some of the work too."
Nasubi immediately started chatting with Kaito.
Kaito praised, "Is that so? That also means Hakuten thinks highly of you two."
"Ahahahaha…" Nasubi grabbed his fluffy white hair and couldn't help laughing, pretending to be modest as he waved his hand. "Not at all, we're just working hard to learn from Hakuten…"
"Hey! What are you getting so excited about?!" Takanotsume jumped up and knocked Nasubi on the head. "Hurry up and work! If we exceed the time limit, Hakuten will be angry!!"
"Huh? I know."
Nasubi covered the top of his head with both hands, looking at him innocently.
"You're going to be the death of me!"
Takanotsume glared at him, then side-eyed Kaito.
"And you too, Lord Uchiha. I know you want to give them more time to say goodbye, but the work of Hell is very strict!"
"Huh? Was I found out?" Kaito said without much sincerity, "Sorry."
"What a willful adult."
Takanotsume directly called out to the Kochō couple, who were reluctantly parting from the sisters, "Hey! You two! Time's up! You can't stay in the living world any longer!!"
"Ah, yes! Lords!"
The Kochō couple didn't dare delay any further and hurried over, following the two little demons into the Gate of the Underworld.
"Thank you for saving Kanae, sir!"
"Thank you for your help!"
Before the Gate of the Underworld closed, the couple bowed deeply to Kaito.
"Goodbye, Lord Uchiha."
"Goodbye!"
Takanotsume and Nasubi also waved to Kaito.
"Goodbye."
Kaito watched as the Gate of the Underworld completely closed and disappeared, then turned to look at the Kochō sisters behind him.
"Thank you for your help, Mr. Uchiha."
"Thank you so much."
The Kochō sisters, their eyes still red, though unable to see the Gate of the Underworld or the two little demon guards, had already learned everything from their parents.
"I'm sorry for doubting you earlier…"
Shinobu now felt none of her previous suspicion toward Kaito, only overwhelming gratitude.
"There's no need to apologize, Miss Shinobu." Kaito said gently. "As demon-slaying swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, your work is dangerous. Maintaining vigilance is absolutely necessary."
Not wanting to listen to the girls' endless gratitude, he directly said, "The defeat of Upper Moon Two is a significant event. You should return quickly and report to your leader. And don't forget to relay my message. I will await good news here."
Having said that, he simply turned around, waved his hand, and walked straight into the depths of the Seimei Shrine.
"Sister…"
Shinobu watched Kaito's back as he walked under the torii gate, her expression suddenly changing.
"What's wrong, Shinobu?" Kanae asked with a smile.
Shinobu pointed at Kaito's retreating figure. "He… he… he…"
"Hmm?" Kanae blinked.
Shinobu stared wide-eyed as Kaito suddenly vanished without a trace and couldn't help exclaiming loudly, "I saw it clearly just now! He doesn't have a shadow!!"
"Huh?"
