Chapter 210 - Chapter 207:Indigo League Finals – Ash Ketchum vs Giselle (Part 2 – The End)

The Indigo Plateau stadium had become a volcano of sound. Eighty thousand voices fused into one continuous, deafening roar that shook the concrete foundations and rattled the steel girders overhead. Confetti still drifted from earlier celebrations, but no one cared anymore. Every eye, every camera, every heartbeat was locked on the battlefield a scarred, muddy war zone lit by blinding floodlights. The air was thick with tension, ozone from electric attacks, and the faint smell of scorched grass.

Giselle stood on her platform, hair disheveled, makeup streaked with tears and sweat, hands trembling so badly she almost dropped her next Poké Ball. She had lost three Pokémon in a row Cloyster frozen solid by Articuno, Vaporeon overwhelmed by the same ice bird's Blizzard, and Electabuzz one-shotted by Zapdos's Thunderbolt. The scoreboard glowed mercilessly: Ash 3, Giselle 0.

She was close to breaking.

Her voice cracked as she threw her fourth ball her last hope, her aunt's final weapon.

"Dewgong! Please… end this!"

Dewgong materialized sleek, white, horn gleaming, body shimmering with icy power. The crowd murmured recognizing Lorelei's signature Pokémon. Giselle lifted her chin, trying to look defiant, but her eyes were glassy with tears.

Ash looked at her calm, almost pitying.

He raised his hand.

"Zapdos return."

Zapdos ascended in a flash of golden lightning, disappearing into the sky. The crowd groaned disappointed not to see more of the electric legend.

But then Ash tossed another Ultra Ball skyward.

The clouds above the stadium darkened instantly black, heavy, swirling with fire.

A piercing, fiery cry split the air louder than thunder.

Moltres descended.

Wings of blazing orange and red spread wide flames trailing like comet tails. Its body glowed like a second sun, heat radiating across the field, instantly drying the mud and evaporating puddles. The legendary bird of fire hovered above Ash eyes glowing molten gold, aura so intense the air shimmered around it.

The stadium detonated.

Commentator 1 (voice breaking, almost screaming): "MOLTRES! Articuno… Zapdos… and now MOLTRES! Ash Ketchum has the legendary bird trio! THREE LEGENDARY BIRDS IN ONE BATTLE! This is beyond anything we've ever witnessed in the history of the Indigo League!"

Commentator 2 (shouting over the roar): "The entire stadium is shaking! Frost from Articuno, lightning from Zapdos, and now fire from Moltres! Giselle… she never stood a chance!"

The crowd was beyond control people standing on seats, screaming, crying, phones shaking in their hands.

"LEGENDARY TRIO!"

"ASH HAS THREE LEGENDARIES!"

"THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!"

Kids climbed on parents' shoulders. Adults wept openly. The jumbotron zoomed in close-ups of Moltres's blazing wings, the heat haze around its body, the sheer majesty of the fire bird.

In the VIP section, Amber's mouth hung open. "Big brother has a fire bird too?!"

Delia clutched her hands to her chest, tears streaming. "My boy… he has three legendary birds…"

Daisy screamed so loud her voice cracked, "THAT'S MY ASH!"

Cynthia sunglasses slipping leaned forward, whispering, "He's not holding back at all… the trio. He really has them."

Professor Birch in Hoenn stood up completely from his chair, hands pressed to the desk. "The legendary birds… all three… in one trainer's hands. This is historic."

Norman in Petalburg City watched with crossed arms, eyes wide. "That boy… he's not just strong. He's something else."

Wulfric in Snowbelle City rumbled low, "Fire… ice… lightning… the elements themselves bow to him."

Brenden in the stadium grinned wider. "Ash… you absolute monster. Three legendaries. Three."

Giselle's legs gave out. She dropped to her knees sobbing openly now.

"You… you have three legendaries?!"

Ash's voice was calm.

"Yes."

He looked at Moltres.

"Moltres Flamethrower."

Moltres opened its beak. A torrent of pure fire roared across the field hotter than any Flamethrower Giselle had ever seen. Dewgong tried to defend Aurora Beam firing desperately but the flames swallowed the ice attack whole.

Dewgong shrieked body engulfed and collapsed instantly, charred and unconscious.

"Dewgong is unable to battle! Ash leads 4-0!"

Giselle broke completely.

She fell forward onto her hands and knees sobbing uncontrollably, tears and makeup mixing in streaks down her face. Her body shook with each sob. The smug princess of Celadon City was gone. All that remained was a broken girl who had finally met a wall she couldn't buy, charm, or scheme her way over.

The referee stepped forward.

"Giselle is unable to continue! Ash Ketchum wins the Indigo League Finals!"

The stadium erupted confetti rained down, fireworks lit the sky, the entire plateau shook with the roar.

Ash Ketchum had become Champion.

He recalled Moltres gently the fire bird ascended in a blaze of glory, disappearing into the night sky. The crowd's roar followed it

"LEGENDARY! LEGENDARY! LEGENDARY!"

Ash walked to the center of the field calm, composed as league officials rushed forward with the massive Indigo League trophy. Chairman Charles Goodshow white beard flowing, eyes twinkling stepped forward, holding the trophy high.

"Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town… you have won the Indigo League Championship!"

The crowd detonated again louder than ever.

Goodshow lowered the trophy into Ash's hands. It was heavy gold and crystal, engraved with the names of every past Champion. Ash lifted it overhead the stadium lights glinting off its surface and the roar reached new heights.

Goodshow leaned in, voice amplified over the speakers.

"Ash Ketchum as Champion, you are now eligible to challenge the Elite Four and the current Kanto Champion. Do you wish to do so?"

Ash lowered the trophy, looking out over the sea of faces.

He spoke clearly voice calm but firm.

"I'll challenge the Elite Four… but not right now. I have other plans for the next few months."

Goodshow nodded, smiling. "Very well. The Elite Four challenge will remain open for you until the next cycle of the Kanto League. You may contact Professor Oak to arrange the battles either all in one go, or one by one at their respective locations. The choice is yours."

Ash nodded. "Thank you, Chairman."

Goodshow stepped back and Ash turned his gaze to Giselle.

She was still on her knees sobbing quietly now, shoulders shaking.

Ash walked over trophy in one hand and stopped in front of her.

"You lost the bet."

Giselle looked up eyes red, makeup ruined, voice small.

"Y-yes…"

Ash's voice was calm.

"Six months. My maid. You'll call me Master. You'll follow my orders. You'll do whatever I say."

Giselle swallowed hard tears still falling but she nodded.

"Y-yes… Master…"

Ash smiled small, victorious.

"Good."

Then the system chimed visible only to him.
