Chapter 328 - Hestia: Mahiro, don't stop me! I'll teach these shameless goddesses a lesson!

Hestia planted herself in front of Mahiro, shielding him from the goddesses poised to pounce.

Her fierce stance radiated the resolve of a lone warrior facing an army.

"Hestia, don't block my… charm—er, invitation for Mahiro to join our Familia!" a goddess huffed.

"Where's this pint-sized goddess getting such grit?" another marveled.

"She was a pure maiden, untouched by men, and now she's using her body to keep him!" a third scoffed.

Their biting remarks shattered the lofty image of goddesses in mortal minds.

Fortunately, the Hestia Familia's residence sat in a quiet, upscale district, free of passersby who might've gaped at the scene.

"Mahiro loves that I'm pure! Got a problem with that?" Hestia snarled, baring her teeth as she fended off the goddesses.

"I knew it," one sneered. "Preying on Mahiro's inexperience, playing the virgin goddess card."

"Virgin goddesses are clueless. No way she satisfies him," another taunted.

"Hestia, if you're so great, let him go. Let's compete fairly—he'll choose us willingly," a third challenged.

Hestia's fury nearly erupted.

These goddesses painted her as a bully when they were the ones trying to poach Mahiro.

"Enough, Hestia," Mahiro said, a wry smile tugging at his lips. Staying here risked escalating the chaos. He gently pulled her behind him.

"Mahiro, don't stop me! I'll teach these shameless goddesses a lesson!" Hestia protested, her face puffed up, glaring daggers at them.

"Come at us, shortstack!" a goddess taunted.

"Think you can outdo us?" another jeered.

"A mere goddess, talking big!" a third mocked.

The goddesses glared back, undaunted.

Mahiro restrained Hestia, who was itching to charge, then scooped her up in a princess carry. "How about a special date today?" he asked.

"Huh?" Hestia froze, caught off guard. Her arms instinctively looped around his neck, her cheeks flushing. "What kind?"

"An escape-themed adventure," Mahiro said with a chuckle, leaning down to kiss her forehead.

"Okay," Hestia murmured, her voice soft.

"Showing off in front of us? Unforgivable!" a goddess shrieked.

"We'll tear them apart!" another vowed.

"Snag that boy!" a third urged.

The goddesses' envy flared at the sight of their intimacy.

"They're escaping!" one shouted, lunging to block Mahiro's retreat.

"Stop them!" the others cried, swarming to encircle Mahiro and Hestia.

"Ladies, how about a game?" Mahiro said, raising an eyebrow with a playful grin. "Catch me, and I'll consider your offers. Deal?"

"Deal!" a goddess replied instantly, lunging forward with a gleeful smile.

"Huh?" She froze, grasping at air. Mahiro and Hestia had vanished.

"Where'd they go?"

"Hestia's kid was just here!"

"Gone?"

The goddesses scanned the empty courtyard, fuming.

"There! On the street!" one shouted, spotting them.

"After them!"

"They're mine if I catch them!"

Without hesitation, the goddesses bolted after Mahiro's fleeting figure.

Cradling Hestia, Mahiro strolled leisurely through Orario's streets.

His pace was unhurried, yet his speed outstripped mortal limits. Behind them, the goddesses pursued with relentless zeal.

"Too slow!" Hestia taunted, peeking back to make faces at them, nearly sparking their rage anew.

"Don't get smug, Hestia! Once we catch him, we'll devour him!" a goddess yelled.

"Right! We'll exhaust him right in front of you!" another added.

"You'll be crying then!" a third threatened.

The goddesses redoubled their chase, seething.

"Hestia, what happened? You went to the Denatus—why are goddesses mobbing our doorstep?" Mahiro asked, glancing down.

"It's your allure, Mahiro!" Hestia pouted. "After I showed your status, these shameless goddesses rushed to poach you. I couldn't stop them!"

"So that's it," Mahiro said, caught between amusement and exasperation. It aligned with his suspicions.

"Oh, did they pick my alias? What is it?" he asked, curious.

He knew the gods' penchant for chuunibyou-inspired names and wondered what they'd concocted.

"Uh… it's not decided," Hestia said, deflating.

"Still undecided?" Mahiro blinked, surprised.

"Yeah, the Denatus turned into chaos," Hestia explained.

Everything had proceeded normally until she revealed Mahiro's status.

When she presented his status parchment, pandemonium broke loose.

The gods scrambled to seize it, and the meeting dissolved into disorder.

A group of goddesses even abandoned the Denatus mid-session to ambush the Hestia Familia's base, leaving Mahiro's alias unresolved.
