The alley was dark and narrow, the buildings on either side casting long shadows that seemed to swallow the light.
I turned to leave, but a group of men emerged from the shadows, their eyes gleaming with malice. They looked at me with a hunger that made my skin crawl. I felt a shiver run down my spine, a reminder that I was a man trapped in Scarlet's body. The vulnerability was suffocating.
