Persia's army was rumored to be invincible and deeply feared throughout the continent.
However, there was one time when they had been defeated and had lost their capital to the invading forces from the west.
They had been betrayed, and a traitor had leaked information about the army's formation and the landscape to their enemy, making them fall into a trap and lose much of their strength.
However, the king hadn't given up yet.
They fell back to a fortress East of the capital, where they raised an army from all around Persia, ready to retrieve their lost home.
Having realized that the enemy they were against was a tricky one, they had to prepare a trap of their own.
A war council had been held; every general, along with the princes and the king's shadow, had been present.
" Ctesiphon's fences are insurmountable. Even if we bring siege towers with us, they would shoot us down. We need to draw them out," began Cyrus, the king.
