Those not assigned to cut corn stalks and peel corn instead pick up the corn cobs and put them into fertilizer bags, then carry them to the edge of the field and dump them into the bed of a motorized tricycle parked there.
There are many of these motorized tricycles parked at the edges of the fields, deep blue in color.
There was heavy rain the night before last, and the soil in the fields is rather soft and sticky, leaving deep footprints with each step, making it impossible for the tricycles to drive into the fields, which makes harvesting corn even harder.
If the vehicles could enter the fields, they could just pluck the cobs and throw them directly into the bed, saving the effort of transporting them.
Consequently, the farmers in the fields are busy as bees.
