It was really just their bad luck; the spot they chose hardly had any fish, even the heavens couldn't stand their stinginess and made them end up empty-handed.
If they had caught a full boatload, they really would have died of envy.
"Did you find out for how much their fish were sold last year at forty, and what the price is this year?"
