Neil hadn't even realized what was happening before five vicious men rushed out from the corner.
They carried machetes and crowbars, their eyes full of murderous intent.
"Boss, run!" Sharon reacted instantly, grabbing Neil and pulling him with her.
If she had been alone, she could have fought these men head-on,maybe even defeated them. But she wasn't alone. The attackers were clearly after her boss, and her first priority was to get him to safety before making any move.
Neil, sobering up quickly as the alcohol left his system, understood the danger and followed Sharon toward the basement exit.
But they didn't get far. Another group of men appeared ahead, blocking the way. Armed and ready.
They were trapped surrounded on both sides.
The ambush had been carefully planned.
"Who are you? Who sent you?" Neil demanded, his face dark, standing back-to-back with Sharon as they scanned their attackers.
