"These guys are just blatantly stalking. Is there no one coming over to control them?"
Executioner complained. She was pulling a cart of supplies on a rented tricycle while eyeing the Statesec personnel who were keeping an eye on the airship.
"Around here, they're the biggest. So of course no one is going to interfere with them," Scarecrow said, jumping down from the wagon and waving towards the cargo bay door.
As soon as Scarecrow and Executioner returned to the cargo hold, the eager crew immediately opened the door. Without waiting for the door to fully lower, a group of Sangvis dolls rushed to the hatch and stood on it as it slowly descended.
However, since this wasn't a deserted wilderness and there were Statesec personnel watching, they couldn't let these guys run out and have fun.
Seeing this, Scarecrow waved them back inside the cargo hold. Even though the Statesec personnel could see them, as long as they didn't leave the airship, there was no reason for trouble.
The dolls trotted back, standing at the doorway and staring longingly at the small tricycle.
Seeing their expectant eyes, Executioner happily drove the tricycle up the ramp, only to find the slope too steep.
The load was too heavy.
"Really? Can't you lower the height a bit?" Executioner had no choice but to get out and push it up the ramp.
The airship's support brackets propped it several meters above the ground, making the cargo door steeper than usual. dolls could manage it, but the small tricycle couldn't.
Other transportation might have been fine, but Scarecrow had rented this contraption to save money. Scarecrow wasn't stingy; she was generous compared to Alchemist, who hadn't even returned yet. Alchemist wouldn't pay for a rental and insisted on using a rickshaw, and now she was somewhere lingering on the road.
"If we lower the altitude, those guys staking out around us could easily reach the cargo hold door. If they look up, they'll see everything inside."
"What's wrong with that? Can't we just set up a ladder? Wouldn't a drone also capture the situation in the cargo hold?"
"The use of drones is prohibited near the airport."
"Che! I don't think those guys will abide by that."
As they spoke, Scarecrow pulled out the list of items and handed the supplies to the Sangvis dolls one by one. Shortly after, Alchemist, Hunter, and a few others returned.
However, they didn't push a cart back by hand. Hunter drove a van directly into the cargo hold, which was much more reliable than Scarecrow's tricycle.
"Yoooooo, who's this? Didn't you say you'd push the stuff back yourself?"
Executioner teased, not seeing the large wheelbarrow Alchemist had originally used.
"Hey!" Hunter laughed softly, glancing at Alchemist sitting in the passenger seat. She remembered Alchemist confronting wild dogs and punks when the cart overturned.
Achemist was unable to keep a smile. Her face stiffened. She jumped out of the van.
"Make way, hey! Don't block all the entrances!" Intruder following closely behind in another van honked the horn, urging Hunter and Executioner to move.
After moving the van, Scarecrow asked hesitantly, "One car should be enough for the supply list, right? Isn't renting an extra vehicle wasteful?"
"One car is definitely enough, but we didn't have enough money. Springfield helped pay for hiring a car this time!" Intruder pointed at Springfield who had just gotten out, raising her eyebrows happily.
Of course, this wasn't Springfield's pocket money but the 'public money' from Renault for purchasing restaurant equipment. Renault wouldn't make the dolls pay out of their pocket for these kinds of stuff.
Thus, Hunter and Intruder teamed up with Springfield. Springfield paid for the rental, and they helped carry the supplies. This way, they kept most of their pocket money.
Renting a car wasn't a one-time thing. They could use the vehicles for a while, as long as they didn't damage them.
"Girls! Hurry up! Help unload the car! Watch out for the fragile boxes!" Intruder shouted at the Sangvis dolls feverishly working.
As they unloaded, a few figures walked in from the airport entrance. After exchanging greetings with the Statesec personnel monitoring the ship, they headed towards the cargo bay door.
"Someone's coming."
"Over there, they look like from Statesec, but a bit familiar." Executioner raised her head in their direction.
Scarecrow and Alchemist who held the supply lists and walked to the cargo hold door frowned at the approaching group.
"Familiar? You recognize them?" Alchemist was surprised, looking at Executioner and Scarecrow.
"Sort of. They're from Statesec. The agent Angelia, Renault has worked with her a few times before." Scarecrow nodded, waving towards Angelia.
"Seems like two new faces. Why do all the dolls around Angelia have silver hair? Her personal preference?" Executioner shrugged, recognizing AK12 and AN94 but not the others. They appeared to be Statesec dolls, not familiar models among G&K's dolls.
"Scarecrow, are you guys here for a big purchase?" Angelia greeted Scarecrow familiarly.
"Sort of. Does Commander Angelia have any urgent matters this time?"
