The soft sound of birds echoed across the rooftop as early morning light brushed against Aether's face.
He groaned faintly, brows tightening as he shifted beneath the warmth, his eyelids fluttering before finally giving in. When his eyes opened, the bright sky greeted him, pale blue and endless, as if the world itself had just drawn its first breath.
"Hmm... dawn already?" he murmured under his breath while slowly pushing himself upright, a quiet groan escaping his lips. As his vision cleared, his gaze drifted to his side, where a familiar curve caught his attention.
A soft, tempting ass rested close to him, followed by the gentle flick of a fluffy tail that had wrapped itself around his right wrist as if unwilling to let him go.
Liora lay sleeping on her side, her back turned toward him. The rise and fall of her body spoke of deep exhaustion, the kind that only came after being thoroughly drained, both physically and emotionally.
