The people were working again, doing their usual routine. Hammer sounds clanged, vendors shouted prices, and the scent of baked bread mixed with faint traces of Arcane residue drifting from halted workshops.
Everything seemed normal, except for a few jobs that depended on Arcane energy, which had been paused for the time being and were now being changed into something else.
