Chapter 4 - GRANDPA WOO

3:30 AM

I was dead drunk at the club, slouched hopelessly, yet I still registered everything around me. Ha. I could brag that this new body had many advantages. "Young Master," a tall figure called out, his voice laced with panic. I managed to raise my head slightly, a smirk pulling at my lips.

"I'm fine. Did Grandpa send you?" I slurred, my words thick with intoxication.

"Yes, Young Master, he is waiting for you at home," the man replied.

"Only Grandpa cares about me, so I will go and meet him. Take me to the Woo old mansion," I declared, struggling to stand. The man helped me, and I leaned heavily against him. His scent... I buried my face in his chest and inhaled deeply. It gave me a strange satisfaction. "Jang-iya is always the best," I mumbled, smiling like a fool in my drunken state.

"Young Master, behave yourself," Jang said, his voice firm.

"Why do you not want me again?" I pouted, trying to kiss him, but he expertly blocked my attempt, making me pout even more.

"Young Master, you have to understand. I have a boyfriend now, after you had your accident," Jang explained, holding me steady to keep me from staggering.

"Fine. I won't bother you again. I will be a good boy and make new friends," I promised, raising my pinky finger with a silly grin.

Woo Old Mansion

Jang helped me down from the car and led me toward a room. I was half-awake, so he had to carry me in. He closed the door, me still in his arms, and gently laid me on the bed. He was about to get up, but his chain got snagged on something. As he bent down to remove it, for some inexplicable reason, my wet, red lips caught his attention. He hesitated, clearly tempted. His smooth finger traced the line of my mouth, then he bent lower and pressed his lips to mine.

I had missed this kiss for ten years now. But my moment of happiness was shattered by his voice. "This is not right." Then he left. A smirk settled on my face as I drifted back into my childhood memories.

Flashback

Ten years ago.

I was sitting on our balcony with a ten-year-old Jang. "Jang-iya, I am already seven years old, why can't we date?" I asked curiously.

"You are still small for love, okay? Study hard, grow, and then we will be together," Jang replied. I was so happy, and then we kissed. Since that day, I had been looking forward to another one. But then my mother came back for me.

The Next Morning

"Grandpa!" I said happily, rushing to hug my grandfather. He was in his eighties, with grayish-black hair, yet his bones were still strong, and he looked remarkably charming.

"Grandpa missed you so much, dear. I wanted to come to the hospital, but my health wouldn't let me move around," he explained, knowing I had a temper and that it was wise not to trigger me.

"Aww... You don't have to worry. I understand you, Grandpa. Well, Ki-Ki missed you too... no, Ki-Ki missed you for!" I joked, a playful grin on my face.

"You spoiled brat," he chuckled, playfully smacking the back of my head. "You should cut your hair; you look like a girl," he suggested.

"No, I prefer it this way," I pouted.

"You will attract a lot of attention, but you should know that I will always support your gender preference," Grandpa assured me. I hugged him tightly. I loved this old man; he was the only one who truly cared for me in our family, besides my two siblings, Hyung and Young-i. I felt extremely safe and comfortable around Grandpa Woo.
