"General, the words are in, Psan is expected in 2 days" Gen said, he is a soldier with black matted hair.
General zhen was at the docks where ships big and small received and delivered products, there he was talking to some merchants who were getting ready to leave tunukor.
"1 day early?" Zhen says, " No matter our walls have stood for 400 years, it will stand for 400 more,"
"What about the lord?" gen asks
"What about him?"
"Lord Fa requests your personal attention for when Psan is here." Gen replies.
"For what? To babysit him? Tell the lord I will be busy defending Tunukor. Someone has to be" General Zhen said, "Look at this place Gen, 300 years ago this was a mere fishing village, now it is one of the richest cities in the world."
"Yes, I see."
"But our friends are leaving, our markets are closing, the River port hasn't been this bare since forever. Is that a good or bad thing you think?" Zhen asks.
"I supposed that would be a bad thing." Gen replies.
"In a way it is, however, this siege is just a sign of our growth, our impact on the kingdom, before you know it our city will be the capital, and I will be more than just a general. but First, lets deal with this rebel"
On top the walls of tunukor, almost 10,000 men and women blessed with strong bonds were watching the southern horizon, some anxious for the impending battle others excited.
There hasn't been a siege on tunukor in 58 years, the last siege ended quickly, with the defeat of the invaders. They were the marsh people, they couldn't even reach the wall before they were struck down by the endless amount of burning stones thrown at them from on top the walls.
Inside, the markets began to slow down as the products from the ships were no longer being delivered, the entire city was feeling the effects of the incoming war.
General zhen returned to the central houses, where he discussed plans with his 4 lieutenants, which he had split to manage 4 groups, 1 for defense, mainly being people with earth and fire capabilities, 1 for offense which held an equal mix of elements, 1 for medical which had mainly bonds of water, and the last was a team made up of 30 di-bonds soldiers.
"Where is he?!" Lord fa said as he barged into the meeting room.
The 4 troop leaders bowed down to lord fa as General zhen stared at him, "what is it you want my lord." general zhen said calmly.
"Dont play stupid Zhen, how dare you disobey my orders! It is your duty as my general to protect me, and I demand you follow through." Lord yelled.
"I'm afraid that won't be able to be arranged my lord, Tunukor is under attack. Have you not heard of the news?"
"Of course I have and that's why I request your hand. I must leave this place at once, until the fighting is over, I cannot risk my livelihood for these people."
"There is a ship that is leaving to the barnacle shore towns, if you hurry you can catch it before it leaves in 2 hours." zhen says
"What- with myself? I command you to come," lord Fa replies
"As I said my lord, that is not possible."
"Fine then, if this is what you want," Lord Fah looked at the 4 others, "men arrest this traitor," The 4 men stood still staring at each other, lord fah repeated, "arrest him!"
"Lord fah, if your safety is that much of a concern, You can have 100 more men to your personal guards." zhen says.
"I don't want another 100 men!" Lord fah yells, "they are all weak, how can they protect me!? They need two people to raise 10 grains of sand,"
"That is the best I can do," Zhen says.
Lord fah erupts in anger, he looks at the 4 who are still standing still, "well you fools, arrest this traitor!"
The 4 return back to their seats as Lord fa is escorted away by 2 guards and General zhen continues his discussions
"General, I almost forgot to give you this letter," lieutenant Ivy said, "its a letter from the king."
"Is it with regards to the tri-bond?" general zheng asks
"I have not opened it."
Zhen opens the letter, inside it reads, "... you are to capture the tri-bond and turn him to me,.. Regarding the invasion I have sent my son Ottawa and his army to come aid, they shall arrive in 3 weeks or less… the journey down south is a rather long one, i hope you understand.."
"Well?" Lieutenant Rue asks, "what will you do?"
"Ottawa, Ottawa, Ottawa," zhen repeats trying to remember the name, " is that his youngest?"
"Yes" lieutenant austin replies, "he is 13 I believe, i have not heard of any achievements however,"
"This is what i mean," General Zheng said laughing, "he intends to help by sending a child"
"Shall we ask for more help?" Rue says.
"No", Zhen replies, " We will show the Yoan that Tunukor is not a joke, we don't need their help"
"What about his son?"
"When he- if he arrives at the riverside, kill him. That'll show just how much appreciation we have for the king's help."
Ottawa and pere began their journey down to tunukor the following day. They rode brasses, medium sized radentas that were very fast on land but cannot swim.
Pere looked over at Ottawa, he was shaking and unfit, "You are a nervous child?" pere asked.
"No," Ottawa responds in a quivering voice, "I, I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to mother or father, and my brother, and my friends."
"Well think about what you can tell them when you get back, you, your army helped slay the Psan, this my child is a road of glory waiting for you."
"I hate glory" ottawa responds, "I don't want to go, let's turn back pere"
Pere sighs then looks ottawa in the eyes, "listen ottawa, this journey is not going to be easy for me and you, you can't back out, you don't have a choice in this, I'm sorry."
"But why? Why would my father want me to fight?" ottawa asks
"To prove you are pogo blood." pere responds, "do you know of your father's past?"
"Yeah, he was a warrior."
