Zephara won't be long.

I kept chanting to myself as I continued walking through the room. I swallowed hard, still unable to believe how I had acted when that Chloe woman had tried to slide up to my Zephara.
Zephara was mine. I didn't know where this jealous streak had come from, but I didn't like the thought of another woman touching her. Zephara had promised that none of the other women meant anything, and from what I had read, demon mated for life.
I was confident Zephara was faithful to me, but it was the other woman who had driven me to see red. I wasn't a violent person, but the second the woman tried to press herself to Zephara, I was ready to rip her green hair from her head.
"Your Grace. Would you like wine?" a voice asked beside me.
I glanced over at the servant who held a tray in their hand. A lone wine glass sat on it. Everyone else was drinking blood, so I was sure as one of the only humans in the room, it was meant for me.
