Dimitri's hands clenched and he shifted his gaze to find Caesar staring at her. It was almost as if he didn't exist to him. All his focus was on Adeline and only her.
Caesar on the other hand was frowning. "Why do you have your eyes on him, baby doll?" as he asked, he took her chin in his hand, tilting her head to make her look g him. "Adeline, I'm your husband, the one you want. Don't look at him, I hate it. I want your eyes on me, only me. Won't you do that for me?"
Adeline was dumbfounded. It wasn't why he was thinking at all. The only reason she was staring at Dimitri was simply because she was scrutinizing him to see what his condition was like.
She almost smiled bitterly at Caesar's apparent jealousy.
