Chi Yunxi was woken up by the heat in the middle of the night.
A scorching embrace pressed against her back. Mu Shengfeng held her tightly, as if letting go would cause her to fly away.
Chi Yunxi stretched her arm out from under the blanket to cool off. As soon as she moved, Mu Shengfeng woke up.
"Do you want some water?"
He raised his hand to turn on the bedside lamp, and asked groggily as he lifted the blanket, preparing to get out of bed.
"No, I don't."
Chi Yunxi grabbed his hand, shifted her body away from him slightly, and said softly, "Turn off the light and go back to sleep."
As soon as she finished speaking, Mu Shengfeng wrapped his long arm around her again, pulling her into his embrace.
Chi Yunxi: ...
"Mu Shengfeng, I can't sleep like this."
Chi Yunxi complained.
"I can't sleep without holding you."
Mu Shengfeng retorted confidently.
With both sweetness and helplessness, Chi Yunxi simply sat up, lifted the blanket, and cooled off.
