Heber didn't show the slightest panic from the threat. Instead, he pressed his lips tightly into a line, as if smiling, yet only he knew that at the moment the dagger pierced his neck, a feeling like heartbreak spread from his chest to every corner of his body. The internal backlash surged uncontrollably, filling his mouth with blood which he forcibly swallowed back down.
