Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

It is always impressive how quickly the Guild can mobilize. Though now, for the first time, I'm included. The hundreds of crates with supplies galore. Various members speeding around, either grabbing someone or something. While semi-chaotic, there is a small semblance of order as everyone is working towards the same goal.

Expectedly, I am off to the side recharging magic in items. With the amount of members here, it just is not practical to use hundreds of magic stones. There are just another few others assisting with this recharging endeavor, though they have already started their break. With my only real advantage over others, I can stay recharging these things for days at a time, only limited by sleep.

Admiral walks up to me with another crate of items. "Apologies in giving ya the most boring job possible. You seem to be almost done though."

"It's fine, really. I'd rather be doing this than be hounded by you if I place a crate off by an inch. Is there anything else I can do? Perhaps making some more scrolls?"

To be fair, I have been doodling some circles that may be helpful already. It is a shame that my partner isn't a guild member. A refined circle would be better than my crude inventions.

"Are you suggesting that Eramis is selling their circles again?" Admiral looks to me expectantly.

"Pht, I doubt it. Don't you remember that Eramis is two people and one of them is quite elusive. No, I could make some normal circles if needed. Why spend a lot if I can make it for cheap. But I would want a few scales of the Dragon Overlord."

He thinks for a moment, "4 scales per hundred scrolls. We need air, space, and, if possible, darkness magic scrolls. Take anything from the storage you need."

"Alright, I can make about 400. Send me 2 Americano's and I'll get started."

Admiral smiles. He probably thought I would try to barter for more. But having just 16 will make either hundreds of scrolls, or 16 scrolls light mages would kill for. It is a win win for me and the guild and I know most of the materials will eventually find their way's to me.

"I'll check back tomorrow then. If you need anything, holler." Almost immediately after he leaves, yelling about the stacked boxes starts.

Alright, making 400 scrolls should only take about 7 hours. With variety, closer to 9 hours. But if I'm not going to be fighting, I can pull an all nighter for it.
