The air was thick with tension. Big Mom loomed like a mountain made of rage and sugar, her sword Napoleon flaming with power. Prometheus and Zeus hovered behind her, ready to destroy.
Yuta stepped forward calmly. Behind him, Brook, Pedro, Jinbei, and Maki stood on guard, seeing the giant monster in pink in front of them while more of her spawns spawned out of nowhere.
Like a boss fight, the minors were almost endless, to the point they didn't even feel like they would be able to reach the real boss herself before all their HP vanished.
Not that it mattered. Even if they reached her, what could they do? This particular monster had a skill called Steel Balloon. She pretty much nullified any attack coming her way. Brook and Pedro had experienced this firsthand.

Minor Quest: Beat Charlotte Linlin
Reward: ???
...
"Ah, you know how to motivate me, don't you, System-san..." Yuta couldn't help but chuckle.
"Leave the hag to me. I wanted a punching bag to check out my new trick anyway," Yuta grinned.
"You brat, what did you say?" Big Mom roared, clearly not happy with what Yuta was implying.
"Thinking that you beat that brat Kaido so you can fight me too? You're a hundred years too early."
'Damn, it almost felt like a Chinese young master speech there...'
Yuta didn't care though. He just smiled. "Hahaha... then what about Whitebeard? You call him a brat too?" Yuta narrowed his eyes, a smirk on his face, making Big Mom's earlier nonchalance disappear for a few seconds.
'Did this brat beat that old man as well?' Big Mom, of course, couldn't believe it. There was no way, right? She knew who Yuta was; however, she just didn't believe what she heard. Hearing he beat Kaido was pointless. Drowning that drunken lizard into the sea was no big deal. Anyone with decent enough power could do it, as long as Kaido was really drunk, that is.
Fighting against the three Admirals, she could only scoff. She, Linlin, didn't even put those young brats playing Navy Admirals in her eyes. This also had to do with the fact that it had been a very long time since she actually fought any navy period. She mostly spent her time in Totto Land nowadays, destroying mountains of food.
She still thought that those three monsters of the Navy were just new recruits from Roger's period.
However, beating Whitebeard was different. That man—even she had no confidence she could beat Whitebeard, even now when he was old and seriously injured, let alone in Whitebeard's prime.
Again, she had no idea that Whitebeard was healed. As for whether Yuta could do it, beat Whitebeard?
He couldn't say. While they trained a lot during this time, Whitebeard especially trained him in both Haki and Shock power. They never went at it to see who could win.
While healed, Oldbeard was still nowhere close to Primebeard. Current Whitebeard was not on the level of Roger or Garp in their prime. Those monsters were something else altogether.
Still, he remained one of the strongest men on the sea.
Linlin, of course, couldn't believe Yuta could do that.
"That old man told me once: Go all out from the very start. And I intend to check out my new power-up anyway, so brace yourself, you hag, 'cause the sea is about to boil."
Then, with a deep breath, he activated it.
Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum....
A loud, monstrous thumping echoed through the air. BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! It sounded like a second heartbeat from hell. His aura exploded, shaking the entire island and the sea beyond it. However, that wasn't it. There was more. The moment King's Engine flared up, another power correspondingly activated.
Conqueror's Haki.
The moment the two powers clashed—BOOM! The entire Cake Island trembled. The sky darkened; it almost felt like it was falling. Red lightning clashed in the air, land and heaven.
A wave of invisible pressure blasted out like a tsunami. Trees snapped. Walls cracked. Clouds above the island parted. Birds fell out of the sky. A conqueror's aura comparable to only one other man alive on the sea.
Dum Dum Dum Dum
Every single person nearby collapsed. Big Mom's children, guards, chefs, even furniture with souls fainted dramatically. Brook fell with his eyes spinning, and that was when the skeleton had no eyes. Pedro dropped like a brick. Maki was a little better at resisting this pressure until she too just couldn't take anymore and faceplanted into the ground.
In just a second, the only standing people around him were Big Mom and he himself. He looked around, only to find that everyone else had dropped like flies. More than hundreds of individuals, all kinds of strong, now lay flat on the face of the earth. Unconscious.
"...Oops." What else could he say? His Haki was still uncontrolled. When activated alongside King's Engine, he had no idea this would happen.
"I'm up for a long lecture after this..."
Only two other people on the whole island didn't faint besides him and Big Mom were Luffy and Katakuri, still punching each other miles away. Though they felt the pressure, they resisted it.
Both wished to come and see who was responsible for it, but both held each other back. While Luffy had no idea, Katakuri had some idea. This level of Haki—there was only one person who had it in this sea.
However, what was with those beats?
Big Mom stared at Yuta, grinning with excitement. "This, the level of the Color of the Supreme King. This brat!"
Yuta sighed. There was nothing else he could do now. The deed was done. Better handle the fighting before they woke up, or it would be double trouble. "Guess I don't need to hold back now."
He launched forward like a rocket. Big Mom swung her sword, but Yuta ducked under it and uppercut her right in the jaw.
BOOM! Her head snapped back. She staggered a few steps—but laughed. "That tick...!" Just in the middle of talking, an intense weakness spread throughout her body, like she was sinking into the sea.
And that's when the sharp pain burst out from the area of contact, like she broke a few bones.
Delayed effect, but effect nonetheless.
Big Mom roared. "You'll pay for that!"
She called lightning from Zeus. The sky lit up.
"RAIJIN! THUNDER BOMB!"
But Yuta didn't even bother moving. His scarf slightly flew in the air, like a cool breeze was making it flutter, and before anyone could realize, the dangerous thunder was blocked. Stopped. Hindered. Rendered completely useless on its path. Never able to reach up to Yuta in the first place.
"Cool trick. My turn now," he grinned.
"Since you like it, then have more. This time with Armament Haki included. ROFA 75% Smash."
If the earlier attack was just to test the waters, this was really Yuta going all out from the beginning.
Linlin's Observation Haki, for the first time, sent out danger signals. It had been a very long time since she sensed this kind of danger from anyone.
However, she was too big a target to dodge. And Yuta was way too fast for her to do anything.
BOOM!
Yuta charged forward, slamming his fist into Big Mom's face. She was sent flying, this time into a giant chocolate statue of herself, which melted on impact.
For a second, she almost blacked out. The power was enough to nearly make her unconscious. Though it wasn't exactly the power of the punch, it was the intense degree of weakness it brought along.
Yuta landed beside her, cracking his knuckles. "Ah, disappointing... and this when I'm yet to put the Shock power into the mix." Yuta grinned. He wasn't looking down on the woman. However, last time when he went all out, he just wasn't able to determine his own power against Kaido.
While saving HT was important, so was understanding the limit of his power, for his and others' safety.
One glance at the fallen people around him, due to him recklessly using both King's Engine and Conqueror's Haki together, explained it all.
Big Mom stood up, though still a little shaken. Eyes wild with a dangerous glint in them. "YOU BRAT!"
She spun, her sword ablaze, and clashed with Yuta. The ground broke. Fire, lightning, and pure Haki crackled in the air.
While Yuta had one of the strongest offenses, his defense and durability left much to desire, even with Rika's scarf. He wasn't going to take this blow head-on.
So, he made a fist, and this time with shock power, cracked the space in front of him, stopping the dangerous attack coming his way.
BOOM! BANG! KRAKOW!
Fists, swords, and shouting. The whole island was shaking. Somewhere nearby, a jellybean vendor fainted just from the sound.
Yuta dodged another flaming swing, then kicked her into a pudding lake. He landed beside her again. His Sharingan immediately caught the slight tint of blood around her mouth.
Her Steel Balloon was also getting affected by the weakening power of ROFA. The earlier attack actually worked. Not to mention, her condition—almost immediately after starting the fight—was showing a decline.
She was losing stamina very fast due to the weakening affecting her. And if that wasn't enough, none of her attacks were connecting to Yuta.
While he was far from seeing the future like Katakuri, his spider-sense could alert him of danger even before it headed his way. That alone, alongside Time Skip, made him almost untouchable.
Big Mom raised her sword—but Yuta slammed his palm into her belly.
ROFA 75 Shock Style Palm...
BOOOOOOOM!!
A shockwave burst through the island, sending cream and chocolate flying everywhere. Big Mom flew into the horizon like a giant flying croissant.
Yuta stood alone. Scarf flapping. Breathing was natural. However, if someone observed closely, they would see he looked a little worn out. His stamina had improved a lot, but even then, this level of output somewhat left him drained. He couldn't fight for days on end like those monsters. That was a limitation no amount of training could fill. Normal human bodies just weren't built like that.
It was not only wise but almost a requirement for him to finish battles fast against monsters like these Emperors if he wished to win. Otherwise, in a war of attrition, he was doomed to lose.
Still, he was way better now. At the start of his training, when he had just learned to push past his limit of ROFA from 50% to 75% with the help of Haki, he would only last a few minutes before knocking himself out.
However, if he wished to improve from his current state, then gaining a strong Zoan-type fruit was his only option. Why? Because he was hitting his natural human limit.
"...Did that hag kick the bucket or what?" Yuta squinted his Sharingan but couldn't see where the Big Pink Monster went.
'Meh, whatever. What did I get? System-san....'
Just then, he heard Maki groan. For once, he just ignored her and those glorious legs.
Legs are temporary. System rewards are eternal...
'Is that why I don't get girls?'
