" Hi, you both are with Melinda right?" Cynthia asked
" Yes" Claire and Timmy responded
" I am Cynthia by the way; the beach attendant working for Melinda's mother, I just need your help because Melinda and Derek are kind of busy preparing for the surprise party tonight, I would like the both of you to join me to the nearby supermarket to get some drinks and snacks for the guest friends " she said to them
" Sure, we can tag along" Timmy said in happiness as he quickly grabbed Claire by the hand
"Thanks" Cynthia said.
( Melinda's mum blowing air into the balloons at the corridor)
" That's a whole lot of balloons" Kelvin said interrupting her
" Kelvin right?" She asked just to be sure
" Yes ma'am, did you blow all that yourself?" Kelvin asked
" Cynthia's daughter actually helped me with some of them before going out to play with her friends" She responded
" Lemme help you ma'am" he said as he reached for the chair at a corner
" Thanks kelvin, how kind of you" She said with a smile
" I wish my friends knew that" he said with a smile making her laugh. " I really like it here, there are a lot of people here and everyone is working together as one big family. It's just like another world different from the city " kelvin said to her
" I grew up here, leaving among crowds of people at the village, getting to know everyone of them and their characters. Back then; there were much people at the resorts that come by to the beach. But now, everybody just wants a city life and they all moved to the city. We just have few beach attendants to attend to them" She told him
" Why didn't the owner of the resort help you out with employers since he partly uses the beach too? He should know how many people that come to the resort to spend their holiday, honeymoons, birthdays and throw parties" kelvin said curiously
" We don't want a situation whereby we start having problem with each other. He actually wanted to buy the beach which I refused because the beach is my family's legacy and the only source of income to take care of my daughter Melinda, your university always demands a lot from students " she said making Kelvin to briefly laugh
Kelvin was tempted to look at Mary when she had walked pass them. You don't need anyone to tell you that Mary had captured his hearts right from the very time he had set his eye on her.
" I can assure you that she is a very good girl. She haven't actually spoken more than ten words ever since she started working here" Melinda's mum said interrupting his thoughts
" oh I see" kelvin said as he scratched the back of his neck nervously.
