Aozawa entered a sage's time.
Not *that* kind of sage time, but a true sage's time; he was contemplating philosophical questions.
The question had surfaced in his mind while he was waiting for Chiyoda to return, a sudden doubt about the Shadow World.
It was known that the scope of the Shadow World was global and that it was the world's shadow.
So here was his question.
Did his newly acquired superpower create the Shadow World?
Or had the Shadow World always existed, and he only discovered it after acquiring his superpower?
This chicken-or-egg type of question had Aozawa lost in thought for a time.
Even if he didn't come up with an answer, his mind was still subconsciously pondering those matters.
That's what happens when a man is bored.
A bored man can find endless delight in even squatting on the ground counting ants.
