Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 First Step 3_1

The young girl's slim, youthful figure held a dazzling beauty under the sunshine. The man's gaze inadvertently fell on her fair skin. His eyes widened, as if watching petals unfurl, and the girl giggled even more heartily.

Yan Xixi inhaled sharply and took an involuntary step back.

However, Wan Donglin casually clapped his hands as if nothing had happened. The girl on the swing came down and cozied up to him. Wan Donglin slightly sidestepped and pushed her away. She shrugged indifferently, casually picked up a large men's jacket lying on the ground, and slipped it on, covering her entire body.

When she tilted her head, one could see the gem-studded earrings on her ears and a large-carat diamond necklace around her neck. From head to toe, she was like a doll forged from money, exuding an aura of wealth and luxury.

She sized up Yan Xixi, and Yan Xixi sized her up in return.

Slowly, the girl's gaze moved away from Yan Xixi's face. She pouted and wrapped her arms around Wan Donglin's waist, her voice sweet and childlike, "Darling, why did you bring someone home again?"

Wan Donglin took out a check he had prepared earlier and handed it to her. "Leave, and never come back to this room again."

The girl glanced at the check, perhaps very pleased with the amount written on it. She smiled charmingly, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Mr. Wan. Call me when you miss me."

Then, she kissed Wan Donglin on the cheek, glared maliciously at Yan Xixi, her eyes flashing with jealousy, and then departed with a graceful sway.

The red velvet swing set was still swaying gently, a faint scent of its former mistress's expensive perfume lingering in the air. Wan Donglin looked at the stunned Yan Xixi. "See? All you have to do is sit on it and swing for my enjoyment, and this house will be yours..."

Yan Xixi stared intently at his face. It was said that rich men were often deviants, but she had never imagined he could be *this* deviant.

The last ray of sunset fell on his face. He's actually quite good-looking, she thought. He really wasn't young anymore, but perhaps these were a man's prime years. He carried himself elegantly and spoke with sophistication. Even after uttering such vile words, he appeared remarkably calm and composed, possessing a dapper sort of grace, as natural as if he were inviting a woman to a delightful opera.

Perhaps her silence had lasted too long. He casually patted her shoulder. "Xixi, you can think about this carefully. It's not too late to answer me once you've made up your mind. Here, this is the key to the house. You can come over whenever you're ready."

She jerked her hand away, and the key fell to the ground.

He unhurriedly picked up the key, tossed it in his hand, and whistled. "Xixi, swing for me."

Despite being mentally prepared, Yan Xixi trembled all over.

"The moment I realized in the nightclub that you had deceived me, I decided to bring you back here and have you swing for me. Moreover, you have to do it willingly."

A case was opened, revealing stacks upon stacks of cash, glaringly red.

Not a check, but actual cash. A check was just a string of cold numbers. How could it compare to the visual impact of this case brimming with vibrant red bills?

Wan Donglin remained impassive. He was an old hand at this and knew the various weaknesses of women.
