"There she is."
The newcomer saw Lan Xin Ai right away.
Lan Xin Ai's hand relaxed, and the phone slipped from her grasp, landing on the floor with a clatter as the people rushed forward.
"Run, go ahead and try to run again."
Lan Xin Ai was easily caught and brought back, once again locked in the room.
The door slammed shut, and although Lan Xin Ai twisted and turned, the door was locked tight, and the small window she had sneaked through was now securely nailed shut.
Lan Xin Ai sat on the bed, unsure of what to do.
With a creak, the door opened, and a woman dressed in black with a ponytail and an indifferent expression walked in, carrying food and fruit. She glanced at Lan Xin Ai, a mocking smile on her lips: "Women who end up here never escape."
Lan Xin Ai looked at her, her gaze shifting subtly with the woman's movements, until she was standing before her, placing the tray on the bedside.
