Upon hearing it wasn't far, Lan Xin Ai, feeling bored, tidied up and headed out.
Qinghu Riverside, as the name suggests, is a long riverbank. The lake was very clear, with many small boats floating upon it.
By the shore, some were playing the cello, others were singing local folk songs. The atmosphere was very lively.
A large boat slowly approached. At the bow sat a young boy, about eighteen or nineteen years old. Beside him was a graceful middle-aged woman. From their appearance, one could tell they weren't locals.
"It's lively up ahead," the boy remarked curiously.
"If you want to see, just have the boat stop."
As the middle-aged woman spoke, the boat gradually came to a halt. The boy leaned over the railing with interest, eyes full of longing and envy as he watched the lively crowd outside.
