"Don't dwell on it, these things don't really matter." Hiram had somehow already walked up to Mi Lu and was affectionately ruffling her hair.
Uncomfortable, Mi Lu moved slightly to the side and suddenly felt that agreeing to go to Seattle with Hiram was a mistake.
However, she actually did want to go.
"It's already noon. Let's go out and grab something to eat." This was the real reason Hiram had come over.
He hoped he could slowly become a part of Mi Lu's life and gradually enter her heart.
He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he didn't want to give up.
"I'm not hungry yet, I'll eat later! Hiram, you go ahead and eat! Don't starve yourself." Mi Lu indirectly refused, feeling she was turning into a drama queen.
She's clearly not interested in Hiram, yet she can't refuse his kindness.
She hates the 'innocent white lotus' character, and she's starting to become such a woman herself.
