After listening, Ding Father let out a long sigh. He understood his daughter; Ding Jinshi might be more inclined towards Western independence and autonomy because of her studies abroad, unlike most families in China who tend to focus on fulfilling traditional family roles.
"Since you've made up your mind, I naturally have nothing to say. The path is for you and your husband to walk; walk in a way that makes you happy," Ding Father ultimately did not express disagreement. He was also pleased that Ding Long consulted him before making a decision, showing him respect.
Ding Jinshi did not know what Ding Long discussed with her father. She only realized when she got home in the evening that the two brothers and her daughter were already reconciled.
