(Random Soul POV)

"WHERE AM I?! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!" My voice echoed through a vast white void, but there was no reply.

I spun in place, searching — anything... anyone... something.

Then, without warning, a blinding ray of light crashed down from above with a thunderous *SHHHHHRRRRAAKK!!*

I instinctively raised my arm to shield my eyes — only to realize my body was transparent.

I froze, staring in shock and awe as the radiant beam slowly dispersed. Standing within the light was a colossal, holy-like humanoid figure, so massive he could make skyscrapers look like toothpicks.

My mind scrambled for answers.

Why is he so big? Where the hell am I?!

I shouted, "WHO ARE YOU?!"

The great being exhaled, and his breath became a swirling wind that passed through my non-existent body with a soft *WHOOOSH*.

"I AM EIRYTHIUS, GOD OF REBIRTH!"

His voice boomed like rolling thunder across the empty space.

He spoke again.

"NO NEED TO FRET, YOUNG SOUL. YOU ARE COMPLETELY FINE."

I blinked up at him, stunned. My words fumbled out. "What's... what's going on? Eirythius... sir?"

He looked down and spoke again:

"YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO BE REINCARNATED AMONGST THE MANY."

I stood stunned, brain reeling from the words.

So I died, huh?

Although I'd already suspected as much.

"YES, THOUGH THERE WAS A SLIGHT ISSUE WITH YOUR DEATH," Eirythius added calmly.

I blinked in confusion. Half-joking, I asked, "Did I get accidentally killed by a god or something?"

I remembered all those stories I'd read and heard about. A deep rumble escaped from the god's throat.

"YOU DARE QUESTION THE GODS, MORTAL?! I SHOULD SMITE YOU WHERE YOU STAND!"

I flinched—but then he let out an exaggerated *HUMPH* and continued.

"BUT I KNOW YOU MEAN NO DISRESPECT. YOU ARE CONFUSED. LET ME ENLIGHTEN YOU."

Eirythius raised his massive hand. A shimmering projection appeared, replaying a memory I didn't even know I had — the moment I passed through the Realm of the Dead.

[Unknown Time Ago — Realm of the Dead]

A massive courtroom loomed under a ceiling with no sky.

Three thrones dominated the chamber, each pulsing with a fearsome divine presence. The center one housed none other than Hades, Lord of the Underworld.

Below him stood... me?

Matthew Matthews Jr.

Watching myself in third person felt weird.

"Man, seeing yourself from the outside is freaky," I muttered.

The courtroom was filled with ghostly figures — murmuring, whispering, rustling like dead leaves. Then... *BANG!!!*

A gavel slammed, and silence snapped into place.

"SILENCE!"

Hades' voice cracked through the chamber like a divine whip.

He glared down at my former body.

"You died. But due to a curse placed upon me by an angered wife—" He growled under his breath."—I was delayed in collecting your soul."

He pointed his gavel at me.

"You should have died in that auditorium. From the bullet wounds."

Bullet wounds...?

*BANG!*

Another slam of the gavel.

"Verdict reached. For my negligence, you are hereby sent to the God of Rebirth — with one wish."

He extended a hand, and black energy swirled around my past self, pulling me into the Realm of Souls.

As the memory faded, I swore Hades glanced right at me.

[Memory Ends]

"I don't even remember that happening," I murmured.

"OF COURSE YOU DIDN'T," Eirythius replied.

"THE LAND OF THE DEAD HOLDS HORRORS MORTALS AREN'T MEANT TO RETAIN."

I nodded slowly. "I see…"

Then he asked:"Do you know where you wish to go for reincarnation?"

This time, his voice was much softer — almost... normal?

I blinked. "Why weren't you talking like this before?"

"Ah, I forgot I was projecting my voice louder. Now, have you decided?"

I looked at him, wide-eyed. "Wait, I get to choose? For real?"

"Yes, mortal. Now hurry — I am very busy."

(A lie. He reincarnates maybe once every thousand years.)

My heart skipped. I grinned and shouted, "ONE PIECE! Please — I want to go there! That world is so exciting & interesting!"

"Of course," Eirythius said with a nod.

"And don't forget — Hades granted you one wish. Choose wisely."

I paused, thinking.

Then finally — "I want to become Kaido, King of Beasts! But don't make me a baby, okay?"

I shuddered, imagining all those awkward isekai birth scenes. No thanks.

Was I sure I wanted to be Kaido? Honestly... yes. He's a monster — strong, iconic, and hella cool. Sure, he's technically a villain, but that doesn't mean I have to be.

Strength is everything in One Piece. I'll need it.

Eirythius raised an eyebrow. "So be it. Your wish is granted. Though I would've thought you'd ask to keep your memories of the One Piece world."

"Huh—WAIT!!"

Too late... *SNAP!*

The god raised his fingers and sent me flying through the void.

"NOOOOOOOO!!! LET ME CHANGE MY WIIIIIIISH—!!"

His voice echoed faintly as the world faded to black."If you're lucky, you might keep some memories…"

[In the Cosmos]

"AAAH I'M LATE! I NEED TO HURRY UP!"

*FWOOOSH!* *zzzzzzZPHA!*

A celestial being zoomed through the cosmos.

"Huh? What'd I just hit? Eh, should be fine…"

[Punk Hazard — New World]

"WHAT THE HEEEELLL—QUASAR!!!"

{Author's Endnote}

I hope you guys enjoyed this Revised chapter I think I did a good job, if you have any tips or anything of that area please offer your advice.

Feel free to roast me on mispelling because English is my only language.

Updates will be slower since this is an original story so expect slower chapters. I'm going to release other rewritten chapters within a couple days.. this will give me time to potentially get ahead just in case I need a break I could still probably release a chapter or two from the storage.

[OK THIS IS THE END OF THE ENDNOTE]
