Hot damn, just like in the anime, Daru Dayu really knows how to ignite the spirit of man, whether she is intentionally doing it or not.
Please don't blame me, if such a cute girl with adorable cat ears and tail wearing a revealing geisha outfit saying that kind of words which are rich with the tone of temptation, any healthy young man would have their battle spirit instantly soars so high to the heaven!
Ahem ahem, we are getting sidetracked here....
And so, with a little more teasing from the mischievous incarnation of a Maneki-neko, Daru Dayu finally accepted my challenge as an Official Gym Batle.
It's time to D-d-d-d-d-duel~!!!!
"As the the first Gym Leader, I will give you a little advantage, Jovanna-kun. Here is my first Pokémon. Come forth, Roggenrola!"
"Go, Shion!" I sent out my Wooxie with my right hand while holding the Pokédex on my left hand to scan the Roggenrola.
[Roggenrola, the Mantle Pokémon, is a Rock Type Pokémon.]
[Roggenrola were discovered a hundred years ago in an earthquake fissure. There is an energy core inside each one of them. The hexagonal shaped hole on Roggenrola body is actually its ear. And deep inside of that ear is their energy core, so if you stick your hand in there, Roggenrola will be very angry. It is the energy core inside Roggenrola that make this Pokémon slightly warm to the touch.]
[Roggenrola has a tendency to walk in the direction the sound it hears is coming from, but if the sounds cease, it will panics and topples over. Born deep within the ground, it compares itself with similar species, such as Geodude and Carbink, to settle which has the hardest body.]
[The material that makes up a Roggenrola body is dirt from several hundred years ago. Compressed underground, its body is as hard as steel, but apparently a long soak in water will cause it to soften a bit.]
[This Roggenrola have the ability Sturdy, and it knows the move Autotomize (Egg Move), Sand Attack, Tackle, Harden, Stealth Rock, Mud-Slap, Rock Blast, and Smack Down.]

The sound of clicks and clings comes from the inside of Roggenrola body, before it is glimmered with a metallic shine as its speed is increased by two stage.
I am wondering, since on average a Roggenrola weight is only 18 kg, and Autotomize reduce one's weight by 100 kg in game (to a minimum of 0.1 kg), will the real life version also works the same?
Won't it make a Roggenrola become so light that a single Gust can blow it away?
But no matter what, this works in my favor as my Wooxie have successfully wrapped her vines to the Roggenrola.
Different than the in-game counterpart, the move Bind in this reality can be used to capture and restraint the enemy's movements.
"Shion, don't let it escape! Shoot it with your Bullet Seed!"
As I commanded, my Grass Pokemon shot her STAB Move to the Rock type Pokémon that are still bound by her vines, dealing Super Effective damage with additional bonus on top.
"Hmmm.... For a rookie trainer, I commend you for being able to synergizes your Pokémon's moves seamlessly." Daru Dayu calmly praised my tactic by making her Pokémon bounded by the vines and thus unable to move freely while my Pokémon can freely bombard it from afar.
"However..., Your tactic will only works if your enemy Pokémon only know contact moves. Roggenrola, use Rock Blast."
Worthy of a Gym Leader, Daru Dayu-sama calmly assessed the situation and solve my beginner tactic with ease.
The Roggenrola hurls rocks to my Wooxie, hitting her five times as a payback from the five bullets she shot at it earlier.
Along with the barrage of blasting rocks, the Roggenrola manage to slip off from the bind of my Pokémon's vines and it quickly move away with a blurry image made by its speedy movement.
But my enemy Pokémon must have been battered up very much by now, a single shot from my wooxie would be enough to take it down.
"Shion, use Disarming Voice!" And so, I decided to use another one ofy Pokémon STAB moves that are guaranteed to hit the enemy.
"Roggenrola, Stealth Rock." Daru Dayu calmly commanded her Pokémon to do its last stand move.
My centaurian wooden knight pokemon emitted a high pitched cry, the charming sound she let out will deal mental damage to any foes who heard it.
But before the Roggenrola fall down from my Pokémon sure hit moves, it still managed to shot some sharp scrap rocks that immediately buried themselves on the ground.
Tch... From now on, everytime I send out a Pokémon out to the Battle Arena, they will be harmed by those Stealth Rock.
Stealth Rock lays a trap of stones around the enemy, which will hurts any Pokémon that are switching in to the opposing field.
In the game, Stealth Rocks inflict variable damage, based on a fraction of the Pokémon's maximum HP and also on its susceptibility to the Rock type.
For example, even though normally Stealth Rock only deals damage equal to 1/8 of its victim's HP whenever they are switching in, but a Fighting type Pokémon when it is switching in would only lose 1⁄16 of its maximum HP because Rock-type attacks are not very effective against it.
However, for a Dual Type Fire/Flying Pokémon, they would lose 1⁄2 of their HP since Rock-type attack is super effective against both Fire and Flying type Pokémon.
Hmmmm..... I remember that Stealth Rock can be cleared from the field by the moves Rapid Spin around the user or Defog around the target but sadly none of my Pokémon knows that move.
Also, due to the Rock type trap on the field, now Phinia is out of question to be sent out as she will lose a quarter of her HP the moment she is switched in.
Good thing I still have two other Pokémons so I am not getting disadvantaged in this three vs three Gym Battle.
"Good job, Roggenrola, now you can rest. Hmmmm, you don't want to switch out your Pokémon, boya?" Daru Dayu asked me with her seductive tone after she is done returning her pokemon back to her own pokeball.
I shakes my head left and right.
Of course I don't want to switch my Pokémon yet.
Shion is still very lively as she have only taken a single round of Rock Blast from earlier battle.
Added with the healing effect she get from her Shell Bell, although it is not that much but she is still good to go for another round.
If there are people who still switched out his Pokémon in that condition only to get the new switching in Pokémon get 1/4 of its HP shaved by the Stealth Rock, they must be stoopid.
"Hmm good, then." Daru Dayu nodded her head.
"Hmmm, since the enemy is a Grass and Fairy type Pokémon, it is your turn now, go forth to rock them, Glimmet." And then the Rock Gym Leader sent out a dual type Rock/Poison Pokémon to the Battle Arena.

Toxic Debris, That's a very nasty ability for all Pokémons that mains in Physical Attack!
