He walked slowly across the field and looked at the latest deaths, as if searching for something.
Soon, he came up behind Isla, who was covered in blood, and tapped her on the shoulder.
She was startled, but when she looked up and saw that it was him, she visibly relaxed. "Matt," she greeted him.
He nodded.
"How are you feeling? I see you've regained a large portion of your power," he said.
She nodded. "But it's hard for me to control it... I have to get my body used to everything new."
Matthew nodded.
'It's normal,' he thought. 'All the reboots of immortality are over. Now comes the recovery of the power she once had, but her body has been rebooted several times. I'm afraid this will take her a while,' he thought.
"I'm sure you'll do fine," he said, as he stopped the blow of one of the few remaining idiots who had gone mad and tore him to pieces with one movement.
"What will you do now?" Isla asked, curious to see him so pensive.
