Leon caught Elina and pulled her into a tight hug, gently rubbing her back.
"It's alright. Don't cry like that—I'm here," he said in a soothing tone.
"Hiks! Hiks!" Elina sobbed, burying her face in his stomach.
After a while, she finally calmed down and let go of him.
"Young Master, how did you find me? Isn't the fog at the edge of the forest really thick?" she asked, wiping away her tears.
Leon smiled and pointed to his right eye.
"I used the Eye of Chaos to see through the fog," he replied.
"The Eye of Chaos?" Elina gasped, staring at his right eye, which had turned black with a crescent-shaped pupil.
It looked beautiful—but also intimidating, as if it could pierce into her soul.
"Wait!" Her eyes widened in horror. "Didn't the First Elder forbid you from using it?"
Leon gave a small nod. "He did, but the restriction only applies if I overuse it. As long as I stay within the limit, I'm allowed to use it."
Elina let out a relieved sigh and nodded without saying anything.
