A month later it was the beginning of September. That means the beginning of another college year. This would be Raiven's last year. I slowly ran my hand over my belly. It was slowly showing.
"Hey Killian."
I looked over at the speaker to find Raiven. "Yes?"
He lifted an item up. "Is this going with us?"
I looked closely at the item. Is that… I quickly stood up and walked over to Raiven. I took the blanket and held it close. "Of course it's going with. It's my comfort blanket. I need it." I held it to my chest tightly.
Raiven held up his hands in surrender. "Sorry, Lil bit."
I nodded and then sat back down with my blanket in my arms. Aiden got me it last month when they noticed that they would be gone more and more, leaving me alone. Whenever they left to go to work they would scent it for me.
The longer the pregnancy was the more I needed my mates but since they were busy and I was still recovering from the bond backlash there were times I was home alone. There were times I would call them whining for them to come home. Most of the time they would drop what they were doing and come home but there were times that they couldn't. Because of that Aiden got me the blanket.
Aiden walked into the room and glanced at me. "Ok. Everything is packed up and in the car." He said as he turned toward Raiven. He raised his eyebrows when he saw Raiven with his hands in the air. "Do I want to know?"
I shrugged when he looked at me. I turned toward the window and ignored them.
Raiven sighed. "I asked him if his blanket was going with us."
"Ah. Of course he would act like that." Aiden walked over to me and caressed my hair. "He knows there will be times he won't have us near. That blanket is the only thing to keep him sane." He knelt down and kissed my temple.
I looked up at him and he smiled at me. "How is the little bean?" He asked, rubbing my belly.
I giggled since it tickled. "Good. Is it time to go?"
Aiden stood up and reached a hand out to help me up. "Yes."
We walked out to the car and I climbed into the back and laid down. Fatigue gets to me easily. I jerked awake once the car stopped. I guess I fell asleep. I yawned and slowly sat up.
"Daddy? Papi?" I asked as I looked around.
Aiden looked back from the passenger seat. "Did you have a good nap sweetheart?"
I stretched and nodded. "Didn't even know I fell asleep."
Raiven and Aiden chuckled. "Let's get inside." Raiven said as he opened his door.
I yawned and nodded. "Ok." I got out of the car and walked over to stand next to Raiven. I looked up at him pleadingly. "Daddy."
Raiven looked down at me and smiled. "Come here."
I lifted my arms and Raiven picked me up. I laid my head on his shoulder and yawned. I curled up in his arms and closed my eyes.
Soon I felt something soft under me. I cracked my eyes open and looked around.
Raiven ran his fingers through my hair. "Aiden and I have to bring the stuff in. Charly and Henrie arrived earlier. Do you want me to get them while you nap?"
I nodded and nuzzled his hand. Raiven smiled and stood up. He pulled his phone out and walked away. As he talked on the phone I squirmed until I found a comfortable spot. I closed my eyes and buried my face in the pillow.
I slowly opened my eyes as I felt fingers run through my hair. Charly was sitting next to me smiling down at me.
"Hey Killian. How are you?" He asked me as I glanced around. Raiven and Aiden weren't in the room. Guess they went to get the stuff.
I hummed and nuzzled into his side. Charly laughed. "Do you want to cuddle until Raiven and Aiden get back?"
My eyes landed on Henrie. I nodded as I pointed at him. Charly looked over at Henrie and laughed. He stood up and motioned Henrie to replace him. Henrie laid down next to me and opened his arms. I moved into his arms and laid my head on his chest.
Just then Raiven and Aiden walked in and stopped when they saw me laying in Henrie's arms. They laughed as they put down the boxes and walked over to me.
"Comfortable Lil bit?" Raiven asked as he ran his fingers through my hair. I nodded and buried myself more into Henrie. Raiven smiled. "Ok. Have a good nap." He leaned down and kissed me on the forehead. Aiden followed him and kissed me on the forehead before they both left for more boxes.
Once they left I closed my eyes once again. Henrie ran one hand up and down my back and the other ran through my hair. I sighed and nuzzled my cheek on his chest.
The next time I woke up I looked around. Instead of laying on Henrie I was laying on Aiden. I looked up at him confused.
He must have been watching me since once I looked up my eyes locked with his. "Henrie and Charly left when we got done. You didn't want to let Henrie go until I took his place."
Raiven sat down on the bed and ran his fingers through my hair. "We have to go soon. The training club has asked us to instruct them."
I looked back up at Aiden with worry in my eyes. That means he will see Cameron. I move my eyes away once they connect with Aidens.
Aiden raised his hand to cup my cheek. "Don't worry. I'm not going to talk to him unless necessary." He rubbed the underside of my eye with his thumb.
I nodded and stood up. I put my boots on and waited until Raiven and Aiden got their shoes on. Once Raiven stood up I jumped on his back. I still didn't feel like walking. Once we reached the training area Raiven put me down and got me comfortable.
"Aiden!" We suddenly heard a yell. We all looked to see who called him. I groaned once I saw who it was.
Aiden put his hand on the top of my head. I whimpered and bowed my head. "Hello Cameron. What can I do for you?" He asked coldly.
Cameron froze once he heard Aiden's voice. "Umm. I just wanted to catch up."
Aiden sighed. "I can't. I have to stay with Killian. I closed myself off from them before break and Killian's still recovering from it." He smiled down at me. "He's also pregnant with our baby."
Cameron took a few steps back. "Pregnant. He's pregnant." He said in an emotionless voice. It was like everything leaked out of him. He was shutting down.
I tilted my head. "Don't tell me you still thought you had a chance."
"No. No no no." Cameron furiously shook his head and turned around. He slowly started to walk away. He was so dazed he nearly ran into others. He even ran into the door on the way out.
Aiden took a step after him. I grabbed his hand to stop him. "Don't. Don't pity him. He doesn't need it." I told him when he looked down at me.
Aiden closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I know. I just feel bad. It feels like I was leading him on or something."
I squeezed his hand, urging him to look at me. "You didn't. He knew what he was doing. He knew how it would play out. He knew you would never leave your mates. He was just fooling himself hoping it would change. That he had a chance."
Aiden looked at me with pain in his eyes. "But…"
I shook my head. "No buts. Everyone knows there's no leaving mates. Even if there are no feelings at first sooner or later they grow. Nothing can replace those feelings."
