"Aiden." I wheezed out through my clenched teeth. "Please stop." I was doubled over with my arms wrapped around my waist.
Aiden looked over at me. When he noticed my position he finally eased up on the link. "I'm sorry sweetheart. I really don't mean to do it." He knelt down next to me and caressed my cheek with the back of his hand.
I glanced up at him with some difficulty. "I know papi. It just gets hard sometimes. I know you're trying." I slowly lean against his shoulder.
It's been a month since Aiden had let Raiven and I in. My body was still recovering from backlash. Since Aiden wasn't used to having a link he would sometimes turn it off or even push his emotions through stronger. Everything was done without his knowledge. It was subconscious.
I haven't gone to the office since then. I was extremely weak. I couldn't get out of bed without help. It was worse than when I was in heat. After a lot of arguing and coaxing I had Raiven and Aiden go to the office and connect my pcs together. That way I could still work at home.
My crew wasn't happy at first but when they were told I had an accident and had to work from home they accepted it. It wasn't much of an exaggeration. Plus being pregnant I had to care for my body more than normal.
Even though I was still working I was resting. Some of the coding was even done on my laptop while I lounged on the couch. I was either in bed, in my office or the couch. If I was in my office working and it got to be too much to sit there, Raiven or Aiden would transfer whatever I was working on to my laptop while the other would move me to the couch.
Since I've been home we haven't filled the vacant game artist position. Even the month before Dad was trying to find the right person for the position. Every time he showed me an application I declined it. I didn't like the candidates. Something was always wrong or it wasn't what I was looking for.
When it came to my games I was picky. Even when I first started out everyone was on a trial basis. I went through so many before I was satisfied.
Slowly sitting back up in my chair I glanced out at my art room. My eyes landed on an art book. I glanced over at Aiden and bit my lip.
He looked at me suspiciously. "What do you want?" He asked as he stood up.
I pointed at the book. "Could you bring me that book?" I gave him my puppy eyes. The eyes neither of them can say no to.
Aiden sighed and walked over to the book and picked it up. "This one?"
I nodded. "Uh uh." I smiled as he walked over to me. "Thanks papi."
He gave me the book and cupped my cheek. "No prob, sweetheart. Now why did you want the book?"
I looked down at the book in my hands and frowned. "I'm not sure. I just felt like I had to look at it."
I opened it up and started looking through it. It was about artists and their work. Most were normal artists but there were a few that also did electric art. The kind I'm looking for for my games. Toward the back of the book I stopped on one particular artist.
"Waverly Lin." I hummed. Her art was exactly what I was looking for. It matched with my games perfectly. I ran a finger along the page thinking. After a while I snapped my head up and looked at Aiden. "Get a hold of my dad. I need to talk to him."
Aiden nodded and walked out. As he left I looked back down at the page. She was everything I was looking for.
"Penny for your thoughts."
I jumped and looked at the door. Raiven leaned against the doorframe. "You're back? Thought you had work to do at the company."
Raiven's lips curved up. "It's handled. Now tell me what got you in a trance." He slowly pushed off the doorframe and walked over to me.
I swallowed as I watched him move. This man seriously was walking sex. He could turn me on with just a look. I gulped again and looked down at the book. "I think I found the perfect game artist."
Raiven stood behind me and leaned over me to see the book. His chest pressed into my back. "Looks like it." He hummed. I laughed. If I got the approval of the biggest Susurisen fan then I guess I was right.
Just then Aiden walked back into the room. "Your dad will be here soon. Why do you need to see him?"
I pointed at the book. Aiden walked over to us and looked at it. "Ah. I see." I smiled. There are times when I don't have to say much for them to understand. We don't even have to use the link.
After a few minutes my dad burst through the door. "What's wrong Son? Is there something wrong with the baby?" Dad panted with his hands on his knees.
I frowned and looked up at Raiven. He was closer to my parents than Aiden. He nodded at me and then walked over to Dad.
He gently patted dad on the back. "Everything is fine Dad. Shall we move to the living room? Killian has been working here for a while and needs to rest."
Dad looked up at Raiven and nodded. Raiven glanced back at Aiden and I as he supported Dad out the door. Aiden bent down and gently picked me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
When we got to the living room Aiden sat me down on the couch. My back was against the arm rest with my legs laying across the rest. I moved a bit so I could see everyone without hurting my neck too much.
"Aiden. The book." He went back to the room and returned with the book. He handed it to me and I opened it to the right page. "Show this to Dad." He took it and handed it to Dad.
Dad looked at it for a while and then looked at me. "You mean you want her?"
I nodded.
"Ok. I'll get a hold of her." He put the book into his bag. "Now. How are you?"
I smiled. "I'm getting better. Still weak but getting stronger day by day. It gets hard sometimes but we are working through it." I glanced at Aiden.
Dad quickly glanced at Aiden. He knew what happened. "Good. How is the baby?"
I put a hand on my belly and smiled. It was still flat but that was understandable since I was only six weeks. "It's good. It doesn't seem like this past month has affected it much."
"That's good. Let me know if you need anything." Dad said as he stood up and walked over to me. He leaned down to give me a hug.
"I will daddy." I murmured as I gripped the back of his shirt.
Dad stepped back. "I should get back and contact this woman."
I laughed. "Yeah. Let me know how it went."
"Of course. This is for you afterall." Dad then left.
Raiven squeezed behind me so I leaned against him. He wrapped an arm around my waist and rubbed my belly. He ran his nose in my hair. "How are you today?"
I smiled up at him. "Good. Just had an episode earlier but good now." We called the times when the bond went haywire on Aiden's end episodes since I normally feel the pains from it.
Raiven cocked an eyebrow at Aiden. "Just one?"
I nodded. "Yup." I looked over at Aiden. He had a sheepish expression. "He's getting better."
He looked up at me surprised. He didn't expect me to say anything for him since I'm the one that keeps feeling the pain.
Raiven nodded. "Good."
