Soma looked at the kidnapper that held Kerin and his puppet in its arms.
The kidnapper likely thought that he was forcing Soma to make a hard choice, but it was an easy one for Soma to make.
He rushed toward the kidnapper, who held Kerin in his grasp and abandoned the puppet.
"No, wait! I will kill your beast."
The other person yelled as Meria freed Kerin and held the kid in his arms.
"W-Wait! Why did you save me? You needed to save your beast. Don't you know how much they sell for?"
Kerin asked as he apologetically looked at the beast in the kidnapper's grasp.
The other side was already running with the beast in their grasp, but Soma was not worried.
He just regretted not being able to see the kidnapper's faces once they realized that the 'beast' they had kidnapped was not a beast at all.
"Don't worry too much about it. I did not lose much and can always make another beast once I have enough materials. That one was just an experimental piece I no longer needed."
