Third person POV
The Chief Justice, Maria Mendoza, read the summary and said to Croix and the accused, "Kayo po, kayo ang kagagawan nito?"
Croix then used a microphone in front of him. "Yes po, your honor. Kami yun po."
Hoshi then took turns with the microphone. "Yes, po, ako rin."
Sha and a few others did the same thing.
"I see then," Maria replied while pulling back.
The other judges, under her leadership, then started detailing their case and its background so everyone in the courtroom would hear. Mario and others were also among the accused, and some in the NBI was present for their support. This was on live TV and on livestream online, so Saki and the others could watch and see what went down there and will happen later.
And then, Maria named their charges: unethical code of conduct, 1 count of frustrated murder, and 1 count of bribery. The LRT depot staff and their manager were also present to give testimony on them on that night. Croix and his team, alongside Sha through Hoshi's translation between English and Japanese and vice versa, gave their defense on the sake of the case of the LRT Depot Slasher's actions on his victims and the people who came with it and backed up its coverups. The NBI also provided evidence against Eduardo and his accomplices through detailed documents, including monetary transactions and some transcripts of their secret chats on their phones. These are an effort to justify the actions of Croix and his group on the suspects of the LRT Depot Slasher case.
Since this trial was meant to clear the names of those involved in this LRT case, it would become one of the fastest in terms of the progress and process of the trial. It became the fastest in the country because the majority of them had to face what would take days, weeks, or even months or years to even finish the trials due to the complexity and the flaws of the bureaucratic system.
So, Croix, Hoshi, and others in the accused row pleaded guilty a few moments after the NBI showed the evidence against the long dead Eduardo and his accomplices that was much like a cleansing fire to clear the accused's names. And so, Maria dropped their charges as if nothing had happened to them.
