In truth, Mike hadn't expected them to regain consciousness so quickly.
Perhaps it was because both of them were king-type mutated animals among their species. Their stronger constitution, combined with their mutation, likely gave them greater resistance to the knockout drop's effects.
Kisha had originally told Mike to inform her as soon as the animals woke up.
But Mike hesitated.
Instead of immediately reporting it, he decided to try taming them first.
He didn't want to give up so quickly.
More than that, he didn't want Kisha to think he was useless. He genuinely wanted to learn how to tame mutated animals so he could contribute to the grand vision for the future that Kisha had shared with them, a vision that he himself believed in deeply.
So as he stepped closer, Mike showed no fear.
