Chapter 5 - Kingscross

I hope you enjoy, please point out any spelling mistakes I know there are many grammatical errors but most of those are for emphasis and remember this fic is something I'm writing for fun so I dont take serious criticism.

-------

Here I stood, in a foreign world on foreign land, it was so horrible to fake an accent everyday and be forced to interact with people but if hogwarts was anything like I knew then my life quality was about to soar.

McGonagall gave me the moment to ponder, most times when she tried to understand what I was thinking she was so far off from the reality of it, but this time she would be right in that I'm dreaming of Hogwarts and that I'm truly amazed by this magical world.

I took the lead and broke my pondering by continuing our walk to the platform 9 and ¾. We eventually came to the arch way between the platforms 9 and 10.

There was a glamor, I could see a veil like a circus tent hiding the bases of each arch. McGonagall's eyes were roaming watching for muggles I guessed.

She pushed me gently under the veil and infront of the base of platform 10. "You going to need to run, with confidence into the wall, you'll emerge on platform 9 and ¾ and I'll follow."

I gave a nod for affirmation then did as told. I charged forward pushing my cart with all the force I could muster, not hesitating for a second.

A beauty came upon the air, a whistle of a steam train could be heard, people in odd cloth were hustling about, a long Scarlet engine roared again, the words 'Hogwarts Express' were etched in golden letters along the red chasis.

I moved forward just in time to avoid McGonagall crashing into me.

"Beautiful isn't it? Not to rush as we are very early but I have other matter to tend and must get this done quick."

She guided me along and had my spare bags and trunk dealt with leaving me with main bag which included my wand, my silver pendant, and my robes plus a few miscellaneous items.

I hadn't used my wand nor really paid any attention to it since I got it yesterday, I had been too busy dealing with matters in the other world at least I'm have an army of spiders to garrison Dol Guldor and Goblins/orcs enroute.

McGonagall left as I boarded the train. I paid it almost no mind, why would she say goodbye when she see me again in only a few hours?

The train was emptier than expected, well I suppose Minerva did say we were early but how early I did not know.

It was easy enough to manuver but not as easy to decide where to sit, there were still people 1 in each compartment it seemed and their body language was not friendly when they saw him eyeing, that was the case until I came upon a lone girl.

She was young, her hair was dirty blonde a light dirty but the brown undertones were there all the same, her face was hidden by a magazine dubbed 'The Quibbler'

She had an odd feel about her so I slid the door open, she lowered her magazine revealing a suprised face under pale eyebrows.

I soon realized her look of suprise was simply just what her face looked like, due to her protuberant eyes it seemed. The wand stuffed behind her ear added to the mysticism.

It was clear who I was dealing with, but how?

Lunes lovegood did not attend hogwarts until the 1992, or second year Harry potter.

"What year is it?"

"1993, September 1st." She giggled.

It's Harry's third year...

Externally I kept the same neutral expression but internally I was replanning everything. "Thank you."

Let that be a lesson to not forget to check everything.

Then she had some questions of her own or statements it was hard to tell with her manner of speech. "You look older. But I've never seen you before. What's your name?"

It was like peering into her thought process. "Nathan Rabenklaues, and yours?"

"Luna lovegood." Her words were expressionless just as mine were.

A noticable stream of people passed by.

A thought crossed my mind. "Forgive me, I've just realized I never asked to share this compartment with you."

"I forgive you." She answered.

It was rather boring at the moment so I read the back page of The Quibbler.

'Cornelius fudge minister of magic by day muggle prostitute by night'

I stopped reading for a second to just take in what I read.

"Are you sure a-" I cut myself off, I had almost referred to her a second year, which she was but how would I know that. "Are you sure a young girl like you should be reading a magazine with such vulgar material"

"Are you sure a young boy like yourself should be telling young girls what to do?"

She was right, my mind was slipping, jumbled.

"Forgive me."

"I understand, but you should not tell others what to do, that's what my father taught me but if you ever meet him don't tell him I've read this edition of The Quibbler"

She had no expression I could see behind her magazine but I assume she was smiling or some self-admiration of her own jest.

The train hissed, people passed by our compartment at the sight of me, an unknown, and the sight of loony lovegood or another unknown if she wasn't as infamous yet.

I would've made better conversation if I weren't so bothered with redoing my entire plan. I needed time, I needed a nap.

Time works differently between my 'dream' world, I'm unsure of the specifics but an hour long nap would get me half a day, maybe?

I laid out my bag against the window side, with the robe stuffing it was akin to a pillow. My control over my body was a great boon, not as good as it had been during the second age as Sauron but enough that I could force prolonged sleep.

I laid myself out and focused.

The world changed to the rocky foot hills of the misty mountains, I turned and saw some many miles off, a caravan of orcs traveling towards a great forest.
