Chapter 1777 - Chapter 1200: Eve of the Battle of Gods_1

The Guardian God Battle is set on a desolate island within the Many Island Secret Realm.

The island has been transformed by the Pokémon Alliance and the Kapu family into one suited for battle, where Pokémon of the water, air, and land can all find venues that cater to their respective advantages.

The reason why the Guardian God Battle was not held on Alliance Island, like the World Championships, is due to the uncontrollable aftershocks of the divine battles.

Legendary Pokémon like the Huge Dragonite can, with a casual wave of Destruction Dead Light, render the protective facilities of the Pokémon Alliance's arenas obsolete.

Therefore, the Pokémon Alliance established a cooperative relationship with the four Island Kings and the Kapu family, designating the God Battle Location in the Many Island Secret Realm; with the Kapu family reconstructing the venues and setting up defensive facilities, the God Battles can be carried out without a hitch.

After all, with the four island gods being Legendary Pokémon, overseeing a Guardian God Battle shouldn't pose any problem.

Furthermore, this place is near the ocean, which allows the Water-type Spirits to not be limited in demonstrating their full power as they might be when battling within Alliance Island.

On November 9th, the day before the God Battle.

The participants from each country have mostly arrived at God's War Island.

Actually, the number of countries participating in the God Battle is not that many, totalling less than 20. Many countries wisely chose to forfeit directly.

After all, not every country possesses Guardian God Level Combat Power, with many smaller nations capped at top-level strength. With only 16 Legends Resources in total, there probably isn't even enough to go around for the bigger nations...

China, Japan, America, Britain, France, Russia, Germany, India... These nations each can bring forth several or even more than a dozen Guardian God Level Combat Powers, leaving little desire for smaller countries to compete.

Nobody wants to be merely a backdrop; it is better to honestly prepare for the World Championships. Even if they can't achieve high ranks there, at least the prize pool is sizeable, allowing them to get a share of some resources.

...

Unlike the World Championships, this competition lacks additional spectators; only the participants from each competing country are present. Besides them, there are neutral guests such as the Kapu family, the Union President, and others.

If the God Battle were like the World Championships with tens of thousands of spectators, it would be quite difficult to manage; the workload for the Kapu family would also increase exponentially.

For example, even before the international battles have started, God's War Island is already teeming with monsters everywhere.

In the skies, one can spot several of the Three Divine Birds, a family that exists only in the legends for the vast majority of Ordinary Trainers and even Master Level Trainers.

Flame Bird, Articuno, and Zapdos can be seen flying past in the sky, though it's unclear which country they are here to aid in the God Battle.

On the ground, Legendary Pokémon appear occasionally.

A few Martial Arts Bear Masters curiously stroll down the streets, taking in their surroundings, with burly Russian men attending to them carefully on the side.

All these signs suggest that some countries and these Legendary Pokémon may not have an equal relationship but have likely invited them with enormous costs to assist in the competition.

There are even rumors that the Indian Association ceded parts of their land to the Dominant Guardian Gods from the Spirit World to help establish a Spirit Country, gifting resources in hopes of winning now hugely expensive support from the Guardians of the Spirit World in the God Battle.

Presently, God's War Island is truly teeming with Guardian God level spirits, so it's only right that ordinary people are not allowed to witness the battles; seeing various Guardian Gods from around the world come face-to-face—coupled with the fact that they do not have an equal relationship with their Trainers—would be too difficult to manage.

At this moment, God's War Island is enveloped in a tense atmosphere, as if a great war could erupt at any moment. In fact, there have already been close to altercations between the different forms of the Three Divine Birds, nearly coming to blows over species discrimination.

The purple Articuno couldn't stand being called ugly by the ice-blue Articuno—how could it tolerate that?

All of us are Articunos, by what right do you call me ugly...

Many Guardian God Spirits, due to their immense power, are being pampered with good food and care by different associations, still holding onto their dominant mindsets. Coming to such a place, it's only natural for confrontations to arise when encountering many unruly Guardian Gods. It's common for sparks to fly when they come into contact with one another.

Therefore, the associations of various countries are trying their best to keep the Guardians they have invited from making public appearances before the competition begins.

Unless those Guardian Gods are adamant and wish to roam around, the associations don't have much they can do to stop them, especially since they still have to ask for favors.

God's War Island is undoubtedly a dangerous place now, but fortunately, each of the four Legendary Pokémon, part of the Kapu family who can temporarily hold their own against High Legends, are present on the island. This prevents the Guardian Gods from causing trouble before the competition even starts.

Under the intertwined "Soul" induction of the four, their immense Divine Presence directly causes all Pokémon to restrain their behavior. After all, in the natural world, the strongest have always been revered. Moreover, before coming here, these Guardian Gods had already agreed on certain rules with the various associations, and everyone silently awaits the beginning of tomorrow's God War to showcase their Divine Might.

China Preparation Zone.

President Wen, along with some participants from the Twelve Branches such as Fu Hei and Master Kong Hai, have already arrived in advance.

Those Guardian Gods who are not tamed by Trainers but have good relations with the association have been arranged properly, staying with Trainers they are on good terms with.

Now, only the Guardian Gods from Dragon Island have yet to arrive.

Dragon Island is a mobile unique island, inhabited by the top Guardian God—Huge Dragonite, as well as the three leaders of the Demi-God Clan, each having consistent Quasi-Guardian God Level Combat Power. The Quick Dragon Elder is an Ordinary Guardian God, and with the widespread availability of Energy Blocks, the China Association has spared no effort in transporting resources to Dragon Island, significantly empowering it to an Epic Level.
